Here are pictures from out first shower, I am having another one in a week from this Saturday(along with my bachelorette party) and then another one on November 3, anyway here are a few pictures, these are the only ones my fmil sent me, she told DF that she took like 100 pictures in about two hours, she is a picture nut. Hope you enjoy:

What a lovely shower! Thanks for posting pics. I love the Pinocchio plate! Is that an individual plate or from a set?? It looks like you received some more unique Disney things. Your cake was so nice as well... but I love polka dots!

They are individual, my mom got them from Dillards. There was Pinnochio, Cinderella, Lady and the Tramp, and Peter Pan maybe? There are all the vintage movie pictures.

I know all of these showers sound greedy, but our families are huge and none of the sides of families get along(i.e. DF's dad and step-mom don't get along with his mom and step-dad) so the one we all ready was hosted by DF's mom and friend, the one next weekend is hosted by mom's two sisters(one of which is my MOh) and my grandma, and then the third one is hosted by DF's dad's sisters and DF's sister. The one my aunts and grandma are hosting is a Tupperware/Pampered Chef shower so hopefully I will get my kitchen fully stocked, our kitchen right now is pretty bare. Then the two other ones are regular showers. I'm really not selfish, I hope you all don't think that. I really don't like being the center of attention, and really don't like opening gifts in front of a large group.

I'm bored so I'll post another installment, I am still working on our daily schedule for our Disneymoon, I have all of ADR's finalized but I am working on my spreadsheet about the rest of the day.

I just realized I forgot to post about the rehearsal dinner, we are having our rehearsal at 5:00 on the 6th at my church and then we are going to one of my family's favorite restraunts Mama Lacona's(they have awesome cavatelli and awesome Creamy Paramesean Dressing) We are really kind of nervous about our rehearsal dinner because there are people who are invited who kind of HAVE to be invited that don't get along, but if they can't get along with one another for two hours then they don't need to be there. DF's parents haven't gotten an invitation to the rehearsal dinner yet because they are refusing to help out with it even though they said in the beginning that they would. They don't want to help out with it because we aren't going to restraunt they picked. Ok I'll give you the WHOlE story. Here it goes. Brace yourselves.

It all started by DF's mom not having any money because 1) She does not work she is 47 and refuses to work because supposedly her husband won't get as much money from the government if she works, which some of that may be true but DF said in the last 15 years she has worked maybe 2 of those years 2) She spends all of her child support on M&M(not mickey and minnie) crap(she calls her house the M&M museum) 3) We wouldn't have the dinner at a place that looks like a child's birthday party. Ok so that is mom's issue, this is dad's issue. Back in March I think, told his dad that we were moving across town and his dad totally freaked out and was like why are you quiting college? WHAT!???? We were moving across town not out of state. DF was not quting college, we were moving to a safer part of town and in a nicer apartment. Then, he went down to his dad's house to talk about some wedding stuff and his dad told DF that he wanted the rehearsal dinner at the Iowa Machine Shed, well DF and I HATE the Machine Shed, we get sick every time we go there and we really don't want to get sick the day before our wedding and our Disneymoon. So DF told his dad that and his dad was like well I'm not paying for it if we don't go there, so whatever and DF's mom wasn't going to pay for it if we didn't go to this place that looks like kid's birthday party, so DF and I talked to my mom(who doesn't have any money at all, because my dad is REALLY behind on his child suppport and alimony) but my mom wants us to have a really nice rehearsal dinner, so she is using a credit card she shouldn't be using to pay for the rehearsal dinner that DF's parents are supposed to pay for. Sorry for the long rant, I'm sure you won't read it all but that is basically what happened.

On the upside, our wedding is 7 weeks away this Friday! EEK, there is not enough time in the day for the things I have to do.

i don't think they sound greedy at all! i'm jealous! it's hard nowadays to get all the stuff you need, we've been living together for almost 5 years and still don't have everything! congrats to you! i love themed parties btw...tupperware/pampered chef is great for a shower, what a fantastic idea!

Ok, on to the honeymoon, I have finalized most of the days so I will start posting those. I have been using an excel worksheet to organize everything, if you would like to see it, PM me.

*Note* I haven't gotten very many reponse cards back but I kind of expected that, I'm going to start making phone calls in a few weeks.

Ok, so I will start with the day after the wedding even though our honeymoon doesn't officially start until two days after the wedding. So here we go. So, either Brandon or I have to wake up early to print off our broading passes, our flight leaves at 7:05 am from Kansas City and we are on Southwest so we want to print them off exactly 24 hours in advance. So then Brandon and I plan on going back to bed until we plan to get up around 9:30 or so, because we are opening gifts at my grandma's house at around 10:30 I think. Then at 1:00 that day, the Iowa State/ Iowa Basketball game is on, do DF I are staying at my grandma's house to watch the game.

I am a huge Iowa State fan, and I have to watch every basketball game that I can, so since we don't really need to be in Kansas City until that night we decided to watch the game and just leave for KC after the game.

So once we leave we are driving to KC and are going to stop at a local restraunt there called Stroud's, they have the most amazing mashed potatoes, gravy, and chicken strips. Then we are staying at a Holiday Inn near the airport, because it was going to be cheaper to fly out of Kansas City, then Des Moines, and stay at a hotel we could park our car at and get a shuttle to the airport. Grrr...I checked HolidayInn.com and we booked this hotel July 4, since then the rate for that night has gone down $20, if we call will they change that for us?

Holiday Inn:

Ok, so after dinner we are probably going to go to bed because we will have to wake up at 4:45 the next morning and we probably won't get to the hotel until like 10:00 because the restaurant is always busy and you can't call ahead, so early to bed that night.

I am going to do Day 2 immediately following this.

Honeymoon, Day 2:

Wake up at 4:45 to catch the 5:15 shuttle to the airport, we plan on doing curbside check-in, so then if we have time we will go get something for breakfast,(we went to WDW in May and did the same exact thing we are doing in December, so we plan on just getting breakfast at Burger King like we did 6 months ago.) Southwest has changed there arrangement on how they do the seating, I love the new arrangement. If you have ever flown Southwest you know that depending on how early you do the online check in thing, that is what group you will be seated in, and then when you get to the airport you all sit in this thing and you look like a bunch of cattle, well Southwest has made the system better so you won't have to do that. Now you get a Letter (A,B,C) and a number group, so depending on when you check-in, which DF and I are checking in exactly 24 hours in advance so hopefully we will get the first seating assignment next to the people with special needs, so we really don't need to go through security that early, especially since Kansas City security is as you are going into your gate which is nice. Hopefully, we will get out ontime especially since we are the first flight of the day at 7:05am.

This is the KC airport

So our flight is supposed to land at 10:50am, the second we get off the plane we are heading for ME, to head to the Contemporary.

We are planning on checking in and heading straight for AK because there are only two things we want to do there, so if we get it done with the first day we can spend the rest of our vacation doing everything else.

Then we have dinner reservations at 7:50 at Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary, we figured that would be the easiest because it is right down stairs and if we are tired then we could just go back up the elevator when we are tired instead of walking all the way through a park.

We might go to MGM EMH if we aren't tired, MGM is open until 11:00 that night but we are waking up early the next morning to go to EPCOT before it opens.

Hello everyone,

I have an update and it is a good one!!!!! Only a week away from today!!!!! Everything has been taken care of and I will be in Disney World a week from this Sunday, which is awesome because we are expecting a huge ice storm tomorrow and we will need a break from the freezing cold by next weekend. I got my bridal hoodie in the mail today. It was only like $28 which is pretty good for all the prices I have seen out there. Here are a couple of pictures.

Also we picked up our wedding bands yesterday but I can't get a good picture of it so hopefully our photographer can get a couple of good pics. Only one week left!!!!!!
