If you could only do one during a visit to WDW, which would you do??

I think it depends on what you like. We have been to both, but prefer TL. BB is fun and has more water slides, but it seems like TL had more to do and had a nicer layout. The wave pool at TL was ALOT of fun, plus they have that slide that is a combo waterslide/coaster

Thanks for the info. I think we'll do TL especially because I want to do Shark Reef.

Yea it really all depends on what kinda things you're into & what you're looking for. If you wanna go for thrills & excitement I would recommend Blizzard Beach (although Typhoon Lagoon has it's fair share of thrills as well) & if you wanna just go & have a more relaxing time, but also mix in a few slides here & there then I would suggest Typhoon Lagoon. Shark Reef is something that in my mind is an absolute must for anybody that visits Disney @ least once. Be prepared though b/c it is some of the coldest water you will ever encounter!!! lol All in all you really can't go wrong w/ either of them, you'll have fun @ both. Like I said before it all depends on what kinda day you're looking for.

Though BB has more slides, TL has the wave pool. We also like the atmosphere and lazy river better at TL.

Don't laugh but the first time we picked a WP togo to we just got on the first WP that came-which was BB. Next time we are going to do both but on the first day that's more than likely how we will choose. ;)

Yea I agree, the Lazy River is better (IMO) @ TL. The wave pool is fun, but it can get so crowded @ times that it kinda takes away from it, but overall the wave pool is definitely fun.

I like them both, but I love BB. TL is good too, but I like BB beter. Sorry to everyone who loves TL.

We are doing both water parks on this visit so we'll get to experience both (never been before), but which one would be better to do the Saturday during Labor Day weekend?

I'm expecting it to be very crowded, but which one is usually worse?

Thanks
Kim

Blizzard Beach will likely be the more crowded of the 2, but it won't matter too much b/c they're both gonna be pretty crowded on that weekend.

just back from the waterparks. 2nd time at BB, 1st time at TL. for us, BB wins hands down. the only thing we loved about TL was the wave pool. ew did EMH at TL, and after 2 hours, we were ready to go. at BB, we could stay all day. also, we have 2 kids, ages 5 and 2, and it seemed like there was more for them at BB too.

How much more "intense" is Summit Plummet to Humanga Kowabunga (sorry if I spelled these wrong)?

BB wins hands down. But if you are going to stay through the weekend try to stay out of the parks during the weekend. We went for 2 weeks (week before and a week after) Friday started getting a little crazy but Saturday and Sunday were out of control and after Labor Day there was no one in any of the parks. Have a great trip. :tinker:

Yea, avoiding the Water Parks on weekends is very good advice because you get a lot of "outside" people who will come just to go to the Water Park for the day.

Let me put it this way: they are basically the same slide except Summit is 120 feet tall and Humunga is not even half that. You go 50 to 60mph down Summit and 30-35mph down Humunga.
