Send TP, bread, milk and candles.

:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

Poor you!!! Don't forget the eggs--apparently you are supposed to live on French Toast in a blizzard...:lmao: Just be careful and stay home as long as you can stand it!

Good morning folks. Here comes old man winter. Everyone be careful today.

My kids today.

Happy Birthday MK!!

It's sleeting here this morning...not sure if the big storm will hit us or not. I have DD home sick AGAIN. We saw the doctor yesterday and apparently the H1N1 has been recurring in some people!

I'm hoping to go out to lunch with the girls if I can find a sitter. Anyways, hope everyone has a good day...especially those who are stuck at home with kids!! (Thank god our schools are open!!)

Happy Co-Birthday Ev!

Good morning everybody! Woke up to a white out, as predicted. Lots of ice, could hear the little tinkle tinkle against my window with the winds.

Almost back to normal here...ran errands, went to the post office and grocery yesterday. Got my tree up too! No one on my street has lights up yet, which is really sad to me. Just have to go out and compensate for everyone else!

Ok, really going to go back now and play catch up. Hope everyone is safe and warm today!

Here is a little something to warm you ladies up!

And another.

Just close your eyes.....imagine the sea breeze, warm sun...what is that? A seagull....Oh yah.

Ok, went back a few pages....

Wow! DL55 got snow? And Texas had a huge storm? That is crazy...

I'm still behind, so I don't know if you got an answer Wendy...eat in Japan. They have great bento boxes. I haven't eaten the TS at China, but I figure the view from Tokyo Dining alone is worth it. But if they're interested in the hibachi side of Japan, I can't help you there...but read that a lot of people like it and you get lots of yummy food....

and congrats on getting into a size 12 when you didn't think you could! (I'd like to have that feeling one day....ahh, dreams)

D&D...you're so close to your trip! Are you super duper excited? Is it more important to get to some warm weather or to go to Disney?

Pikester...so glad to see you got home safely! The pics are hilarious! I especially love seeing family members and friends partake of our antics!

Sukie...thank you for keeping up updated on the Pikester family!

DL55...how did hubby's cookies turn out? What kind were they (supposed) to be?

JOCA...yeah on the almost-considering trip! I hope to pull the same thing with BF! How are the kids doing? How's the new place? Please extend wishes of safe travels to DH...

Bopsmom...sorry to hear DH has a Scrooge-y for a boss. Didn't the snow tip her off that its the holiday season? Bah on her humbug!

LITC...so sorry to hear that Baby Walter is having some icky issues. Hope that darling boy feels better! And I hope you get better too! Hugs to both of you and wishing you healthy vibes!

M&N is still in Florida? When is she due back?

So there's crappy weather for our birthday, Ev. Make sure to eat some noodles today (I'm settling for cup-a-soup). It wishes you long life!

(frankly I just wish that the laundry would get done somehow).

My friend from Maryland is supposed to come up tomorrow. Its under the pretense of my birthday, but its really because of a doll sale this weekend. As long as he buys me a doll, its cool! We're also planning to see the Princess and the Frog on Saturday, which I'm ridiculously excited about.

Snow day for all of us too. We got 10 inches and right now the snow is blowing so much I can barely see across the street. Blizzard of 09 continues. And, of course, the snowblower decides to break (clutch broke off in hand) so here we are shoveling 10 inches of heavy, wet snow!!!!!:headache: Tell me why I live here again:cold:

Pikester - Welcome back. I love your photos!!! I am picturing myself in the sand and warmth of the FL sun. :sunny: Thanks for taking us. Are we still there???

:bday: to EV and Magikitty!!! Hope you both have a great day!

Sukie - How much of the white stuff are you getting???

M&N is still in Florida? When is she due back?

I'm very excited.:hyper:Only 7 days to go!!!!! Can't I want warm AND Disney together????

M&N and Marie are both due back on the 16th.::MickeyMo
Bopsmom is going to be there from 19 -26th.:mickeyjum

You'll have to tell us all about the Princess and the Frog. I'd be excited to see that movie too.

Guess what D&D! You DO get the warm weather and Disney all at once! You lucky duck! Are you packed yet? You are flying, right?

God bless all the snow plowers and sanders out there. They certainly have their work cut out for them. Thanks for keeping our roads safe.

Yahoo! I just qualified for a Houseparty! Its for Wii--I get two free games! One is the new Jenny McCarthy Wii Fit game--how did they know I needed it? Weird thing is, it comes with a camera that attaches to the Wii so I can watch myself look like a fool? Regardless...its free! It comes with coupons too, so if any of you are interested in getting the game, I have $10 off Amazon for it.

I gave my camera to my aunt before I left the Phils. She has three little ones--ages 4,7, and 11. She needs to take pictures of them. But now I'm without a camera...but my parents got me one for my birthday! I'm trying to track it via Sears.com, but having no luck. But its pink and 12mp, so I'm really excited for it.

I didn't know that. :rotfl:

Pikester Looks like one of the little fellows wasn't quite into holding the TKers. ;) I hope the truck in the background didn't flatten us further. :rotfl2:
DH's cookies turned out okay. One was chocolate chip but with M&Ms and the other was chocolate pinwheels. Did I mention my DH loves chocolate? :lmao:
The winds were stronger than I thought. In the pass that is about 60 miles away they had gusts of 95mph! :scared1: Caused power to go out on base. So after sitting around for 4 hrs then power comes on for 1/2 hr before going out again they let DH go home. I have picked up 5 shingles and see a loose one on the roof. Found the missing area. The shingles at the ridge are sticking straight up. Luckily it's over the patio area so we'll repair it this weekend. DH has a roofing project now.

:eek:Hold on DL55!! Batten down the hatches!!!!!

That would of been me if I had gone outside. :lmao:
Our civic center is open for emergency evacuees for the towns up in the mountains behind us. The power has been off since yesterday am. They think it will still be a day or 2 more before power is back up for every one. This is one of the times I'm glad I don't live in the mountains. :cold:

"WOW"~ Wet, Blowing, swirling, stickey SNOW. DH is out snowblowing as I type. I hope it is gone by Saturday. Pikester and I are going Christmas shopping and can't wait to get a "Ruby Relaxer".

I'm with you. Hope this stuff is gone by the weekend. However our temps are supposed to go WAY down tonight (-0 windchills) and highs of 15 degrees.
Love Ruby Relaxers!!!!!!:lovestruc

Pikester - How was the free dining plan? I am anxious about using it next week and wondered what are the best snacks to get for the credit.

Sounds like everyone is having horrible weather except me for a change...we are still above freezing here so only having rain and the occasional bit of sleet.

Got a call from the Doctor's office I guess DD's x-ray was checked and she has pneumonia...so now she's on antibiotics. So looks like I'm stuck with her at home for at least the rest of this week!! :sad2:

So there's crappy weather for our birthday, Ev. Make sure to eat some noodles today (I'm settling for cup-a-soup). It wishes you long life!

Had spaghetti for dinner...does that count? Definitely was much better last year...spending the day at the pool and then dinner at Boma!!

I did have a nice lunch out with the girls and I'm off to the pub for a drink in a little bit...we decided to cancel the home & school meeting this month in favour of a little cheer instead!

Pikester - How was the free dining plan? I am anxious about using it next week and wondered what are the best snacks to get for the credit.

Free Dining was great! We had the QS Dining Plan and we had a hard time eating the 2 QS and 2 snacks per day. I had 3 really great snacks during my stay. One was a an ice cream from the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, Main Street Magic Kingdom. I could have either gotten a single scoop or double scoop for 1 snack credit. Thank goodness I went with the single because it was huge! The 2nd was a Raspberry turnover from Boulangerie Patisserie located in France at Epcot. Lots of yummy goodies to choose from for 1 snack credit. DS12 had a large slice of chocolate cake, DH had an almond croissant and DS8 had a large chocolate chip cookie. The 3rd was as Pop Century's ice cream area (I can't remember if it had an actual name or not). For 1 snack credit you could get either one scoop, two scoops or even a sundea! The other snacks we got with our credits were pretzels, popcorn, churros and different candy items. If you want the most bang for your any of your QS meals try Wolfgang Pucks Express in DTD's Marketplace. Lots of food on your plate plus your drink and a dessert. Not on the dining plan but if you are at Epcot in Morocco for $6.99 there is an awesome drink at a little station out in front kitty corner to a little stage where they have belly dancers. It was like a slushie but with rum! There is also non-alcoholic ones too as the slushie is in a machine and they add the alcohol after. Also at Epcot in The Land is Sunshine Seasons which has great desserts to go with the very yummy counter service food.

I usually just menitioned that I was on the dining plan and none of the CMs batted and eye. Sometimes they just confirmed that I was using the plan but that was it. Easy as pie. Yum, pie!

Oh, I can't forget! I also had a Dole Whip which was very yummy and 1 Snack cedit. Dole whip can be found in Magic Kingdom at Aloha Isle in Adventureland. A little warning though, when we were there the pineapple whip is colored green for the season so don't think that isn't the Dole Whip.

Does any of that info help?
