Evening ladies! It was absolutely gorgeous here today! Mid-60s, sunny, just perfect. Wonderful to drive and see the colors of fall (what little is left there is). Supposed to be like this the rest of the week. I hope so. Managed to sit outside this afternoon reading and it felt wonderful!

Hello. I had a lazy day here. All the packing, cleaning and moving is finally catching up with me. My husband and I decided to take the night off and we took our little girls to the playground for a couple of hours. They had a great time and I think we all needed the time off.

hey there JOCA! What a nice way to spend an evening. They really do grow up too fast, its good to take the time out of crazy lives and just enjoy the simple things. And its good to enjoy the outdoors before winter gets here and we're all cooped up!

I'm back...caught up on all the news...loved the pics...glad to see a few not so frerquent TKers post...glad Kitty's back and family safe. WOW---little Walter's got a potential wife already! Glad the Flat TKers aren't fixing to tear up the house!
Anyway HI everyone. My trip was good. Saw an aunt in a nursing home. I think she knew Mom when we told her who we were. She didn't talk much but it was great seeing her. She's my dad's oldest sister and was here for us weeks before he died. I walked around Colonial Williamsburg one afternoon alone and the next day had a cousin with me for several hours. It was beautiful weather there. There were special activities going on...reinactors camping out on the palace green. We then went to Raleigh for several days to see one of Mom's sisters and then to another sister who is just about 2 1/2 years older than me. Mom is next to the oldest and she moved out when this sister was a year old. We are close to her now. I did go to visit her at grandma's when I was younger. I would take a bus down. We went to a dinner theater one night and over to the Blue Ridge Parkway one day. They have a Wii and we had great fun with that. I may just have to get one.

Yeah M&N has returned! I missed you so much! So glad to hear that you had a wonderful trip. Its nice to see family, especially with the holidays coming up. Sounds like you had a really good time and you got out of the crazy weather we had here last week. Its beautiful down there.

Get the Wii! It is so much fun, although there are far too many "extras" out there for me to figure out. I've been using the Jillian Michaels cardio workout one, its basically boxing. It hurts but its a great way to get stress out. My fave is still the Wii Fit. I found out I'm horribly unbalanced on there, its so funny!

Today is suppose to be a beautiful warm, Fall day here today but I will believe that when I see/feel it! I was asked to sub today so I will be helping out in a Kindergarten classroom. I also worked in there on Monday and WOW! Hopefully I don't have a major headache by the time I get home today like I did the other day.

I am so tired of this cough I have. My chest muscles hurt from coughing so much. I've been sleeping on the couch so that DH can get his beauty sleep and it's not the most comfortable.

LITC, What a cutie Walter is. It's amazing how fast they grow! I can't believe that mine are 12 and 8 now. It seems like it was just yesterday that they were babies.

DL55, We need pics of your freshly painted rooms.

D&D, I think I've mentioned before that I always go shopping on Black Friday (Except this year because we are leaving for WDW). But, it's usually more of a "watching people" then it is shopping. I would rather spend more money on an item then have to stand in line for an hour to get a good deal.

JOCA, Everyone needs a break so be as lazy as you want! So glad that your DH is OK from his accident.

I think I'm done painting for awhile, as long as I don't look too closely. Pictures coming as soon as the furniture returns to their proper positions.

We had a thunderstorm last night. One bolt struck real close to us. It made the cat disappear from the bed in a flash. It's cooler now, only going to be in the low 70s today.

Grr! I just spent some time tweaking my pictures of the baby, ready to send them to the store. I get to the checkout portion of the website, only to tell me that the store I had intended to pick up the pix from doesn't have 1 hour service at the moment! Why didn't it tell me that BEFORE I went through everything?!

I'm going to try to send it later then pick it up. I called the store and they said the one hour service was down earlier due to back up of orders. Hmm...

I doubted the weatherman this morning, but he was right. Sunny and pleasant, mid-60s. Looked bleak there for a while.

It's a beautiful day here. Sun is warm...don't know if it got to 70 but it sure felt like it. I just love this kind of weather. I went to the fitness center today. I was going to not go but I pushed myself. I lost 1+ lbs over vacation! I was shocked when I weighed myself yesterday so I checked again today and I did! I really could not follow what I am to eat and the times I ate were always different. I didn't think I got that much walking in but something worked so I was determined to get back exercising so the lost would not be found.

Hello all! I've not gotten any notifications since the 17th, and meant to check yesterday when I realized it but I got sidetracked. So I had alot of reading to do.

Welcome back M&N. Glad you lost a pound, just don't send any more to me!!

Marie, funny you should mention tuna casserole. That's what I'm making tonite at DS's request! Here's my recipe:

2 cans tuna
1 can cream of celery soup
8 ounces cooked noodles (I use the homestyle egg noodles)
1 cup peas
1/4 cup milk
- - - - - - - -
3 T butter, melted
1/3 cup bread crumbs

Mix the noodles with the tuna, soup, milk and peas. Put in casserole dish.

Mix the butter and bread crumbs (add more bread crumbs as needed to adjust texture), and sprinkle over top of tuna mixture.

Bake at 350 for about 20-25 minutes.

I'm making a TRIPLE batch, which will give us 6 meals worth. we'll eat one tonite and freeze the other 5. My freezer is about to overflow!

I've had calls from the school about both kids. DS is tanking in Language Arts, needs to get his act together. DD brought in $60 to give to a girl who she thought would only be her friend if she gave her the $ (misunderstanding). On top of that, she STOLE the money from me!!! Can you say grounded?

My BFF made me a giant cupcake for my birthday. It's nearly gone. Guess who has eaten most of it. (Hint--it's the only person in the house over 5 feet tall, over 100 pounds, and over 40 years old...)

Tomorrow I go to NYC for preadmission testing. can't believe knee surgery is only a week away. Not looking forward to it.

Well, hopefully now I'll get notifications so I won't think the TKers have dried up and blown away!

Kitty, you just crack me up!

The cake was regular yellow cake, the frosting was vanilla buttercream. All made from scratch, since my wonderful BFF knows I don't eat the "plastic food" like cake mixes and canned frosting.

It tasted even BETTER than it looked, and that's saying something!

It was pretty nice here today. I had the windows open this afternoon. I just hate how stuffy the house gets when it's cold out.

My stepsister asked me if I want to go to Disney in 2011 for a girls only trip with her mom. I didn't want to say anything until I talked to my husband. He told me to do whatever I want. So, it looks like I"m heading to Disney. Woohoo!!! LOL They want to stay in a moderate resort but I've only ever stayed in the values. Have any of you stayed in a moderate? Any thoughts on which ones are nicest?

whgrn, that recipe sounds wonderful. I'm going to add that to my list of things to make at our new house. All my kids love tuna so it should be a big hit.

HI M&N. I'm watching the Phillies too. I hope the Phillies win. I don't like most of the Philly teams but I like them for some reason. I like the Flyers too even if they don't do much anymore.

I've always been a Phillies fan. Shane Victorino. It's not over...anything can happen! I used to watch hockey and do watch some football. I just cannot get into the Eagles. I haven't watched it enough to learn the players. For me to get into it, I need to learn the players. I guess that's why I like NASCAR. I watch the shows before the race and learned about the drivers. I need to have some to cheer for and some to boo! I used to boo Jeff Gordon but he's moved to the cheer side!
Got out of the 8th...will have to watch the celebration (I hope) at the end! I hope they do not have to play the Yankees.

I haven't really paid attention to the Phillies since Mitch "Wild Thing" Williams played. I loved him even if he did lose it for the Phillies. I also like Darren Daulton.

I tried watching Nascar since you brought it up. But it seems like the same person keep winning. Not too sure if it's always like that but I didn't like it.

OOOO, the Phillies Won!!!!! World Series here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course I'll still root for the Phillies even though they won last year!!! YEAH!!!
