Ok, now time to catch up.

marie, I'm sorry to hear about your pup. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for her. Sounds like everything is coming together nicely for your vacation. I'm sure you posted it already, but what kind of camera did you get?

Pikester, glad to hear the good news about Beana. I totally forgot to watch Hell's Kitchen. I'll have to watch it on line then and give my opinion. Still love Chef Ramsey even is he can be a mean butt head. :lmao:

DL55, so great to talk to you. DD13 went to see Harry Potter yesterday and said it was great too.

MK, oh you just saw my kids on their best behavior. Believe me, they are hardly ever like that. And I had to post that pic of you on the coaster. If ever there is somebody who doesn't believe you went on that crazy coaster, you can show them. :rotfl:

HI Wendy, Shmu, lighttech, M&N, & Sukie!!!!!

D&D, hoping you are having fun on the rest of your vacation!

racetrack those pictures are awesome! do you have them up on Photobucket? We should all put ours up there and share them so we all have copies.

marie I hope the news for doggie is good. Poor little thing!

Got a letter from DS today. He asked for body wash and 2 pair of sweatpants. Where the heck do you find sweatpants in July???? I checked a bunch of places with no success, then found them at The Children's Place for $14.50 a pair. What are ya gonna do? (Got the body wash at WalMart for $1.97...) So I mailed those off to him. He's so cute--he still writes "Dear Mommy". Ahhhh, my little boy:love:

I made up my Scotland tour book today. My DSis and I do this for every vacation. We put all the reservation info, confirmations, directions, itineraries, website info, etc. into a notebook to take along with us. This way I don't have to take any of my NUMEROUS tour books!

I also cleaned the Dining Room. I left all of DS's LEGO stuff in there though. Oh, and I hung his curtains, but they are too low so I will have to move them tomorrow when BFF is here to help me. His furniture comes tomorrow AM--I cannot WAIT to see it!! Photos will follow, I promise!

Racer the pics are great. DH did a great job. I am so glad of the ones of Kitty's coaster---that's what I am going to call it now!

Kitty---keep those facts flowing!

I'm so glad 'mommy' got a note. Glad camp is going good for both of them.

There's an orange spot moving towards me on the weather channel so I hopped on to check in. Thunderstorms are predicted for the next week!

Aww, Wendy, I'm glad to hear you heard from DS. How's DD doing? She still shocking you?

Just a quickie tip for those of you planning a trip. Just found out that Medieval Times has a promo code for B1G1....its THANK09. BF really wants to go, so now I have to look at our trip schedule and plan an evening of debauchery. Thought maybe some of you out there may want to take advantage of this offer too....

I can't believe I went on that coaster too. I felt guilted by nephew's pleas for me to go with him. But I lived. I can brag about that.

Supposed to be humid the rest of the week here with evening showers. We really lucked out this weekend with the weather!

I just heard...I am officially a finalist contender for Millionaire! Guess I checked out!

MK, congrats on being "official". You are going to have to keep us all up to date on the details.

Have any of you seen the new sneak preview for Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland? It looks really creepy and is certainly not what I would have pictured from Walt Disney Pictures. Tim Burton sure is strange.

I'm not sure how long this link will be up but I'll post it anyway

Hey everyone, Here is the diagnosis on my wrist: De Quervain's disease

De Quervain's disease is swelling and inflammation of the tendons and the tendon sheath on the thumb side of the wrist.

The exact cause of de Quervain's disease is not known. It may occur from injury to the wrist or tendon or as a result of activities that require repeated wrist and thumb movements, such as knitting, wringing clothes, or lifting heavy objects.

Symptoms may include swelling, a grating feeling in the wrist, and pain and weakness along the thumb, wrist, and forearm. Pain increases with activities such as lifting or pouring.

Initial treatment consists of rest, splinting, stretching, and medications to decrease inflammation. Physical therapy, a steroid injection, or surgery may sometimes be needed.

Basically my doc said the treatment would be cortizone shots, which he didn't know if they are safe for a pregnant woman, and he doesn't even give them so I have to get in touch with my ob, and if I can have them then call my regular doc back and he will refer me to a doc that does do the shots!!!!

Marie--I really hope all is well with your doggie, ours is like our little baby, we have had her almost 11 years, I don't know what we will do when she is gone someday....far in the future of course.

Pikester--I have eaten at Chef Mickeys several times and I really enjoyed the food, the only bad thing I can say about it is the last visit we had, the characters seemed to blow us off, it was kind of like get up and take this picture or I am outta here, WTHeck?

Wendy--toooooo cute that your DS still writes dear mommy....love it!!!

Thanks for sharing pics of your weekend, if it becomes a tradition I want to go next year for sure!

Hi all. I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for the hugs and prayers for my mom. My mom has decided not to do any of the surgical options that the doctor had discussed with all of us. They were all "high risk" and all she wanted to do is to go home. This past monday she was released and she just wants to enjoy her life one day at a time.

I see that all of you had a great time. The pictures were fantastic and that rollercoaster looks very scarey :scared1:. What makes a great vacation is the people that you are with. The memories that you all share will last a life time.

well it's past my bedtime.

I hope all is well for the rest of you.
Chat later.

Ok, I need to vent!

My DH just did something that gets my knickers in a twist! He changed the channel on the TV while DS11 was watching a show. For me personally, I feel that the adults in the house get to run the show. I'm first, DH is second and then the kids. I feel that if the kids are in the middle of a show, the respectful thing to do is tell them that it's your turn and that you are going to change the channel. You don't just walk in the living room after you have been reading a book and change the channel to watch cycling. I don't care if the show that DS11 was watching was lame and now at a commercial. It is rude to just walk in there and change it!

LITC: Wow about the wrist! Hopefully you can put off doing anything major until after 'babycastle" is born. Of course then you'll be sooo busy.---It's so hard reading reviews for the restaurants because everyone has their own expectations as to how the food should taste, etc. We've been to WDW twice using the Dining Plan so we've eaten a quite a few TS and I've never had a horrible experience at any of them. Now I've had some cold food and bacon, when it's cold, is not that good but it wasn't horrible.

racetrack: Love the pictures! Makes me wish even more that I was there. Maybe next year!

whgrn: Can't wait to see the pics of your son's room. I can't believe that you only have a couple more days before you head to Scotland. Atleast you know what to pack and what not to based on your last trip.

Magikitty: Make sure you let us know when your episode will be aired. I don't want to miss it!

MK, congrats! You're an official Millionaire-to-Be!!!:cool1: DD is much more chatty in her notes than on the phone. She is still having a blast.

LITC, wow, what a pain in the wrist! (sorry, couldn't help a little humor...) I hope you can get treatment soon so it's taken care of before the blessed event!

M&N, thanks for the link for the pix! I will get mine up ASAP.

Sukie, I know how hard it is to deal with this. You're all in my prayers.

Pikester, slap your DH for me! I completely agree. Common courtesy would be nice.

Sounds like we might have to turn this into an annual trip. I really you all could have been there.

Pikester, how did my husband get up to your house. That is exactly what my DH does. Once he walks into the house after work, he picks up the remote and turns on whatever he wants. Doesn't matter who is watching something.

LITC, sorry about your wrist. Let us know what your doc says.

Sukie, nice to see you. Still have Beana in my prayers.

Hey everyone-I think the remote thing is a guy thing. My DH frequently falls asleep on the couch, clutching the remote watching something stupid and if I try to get the remote from his "death grip" he wakes up--Insisting that he wasn't sleeping in the first place. :headache:

I just heard...I am officially a finalist contender for Millionaire! Guess I checked out!
Yeah---they checked out our TK thread and decided you would be a great person to have on the show. Or maybe it was the expression on your face as you waited for the coaster to gooooooo! :rotfl:

 Back to you. I know whatever was decided is the best for her. You are all still in our prayers.

LITC: You are truely one of us...no ordinary problem for you. Come up with something strange. What's wrong with Carpal Tunnel? Everyone can at least pronounce that--not spell it though--:rotfl: At least you know what is is and the dr can treat it now or later, depending on baby. How is Castlet doing?

I'm not married and no kids but I sure think manners are important in families. Sure, adults have the control of the tv. Always did at my house too BUT...walking in in the middle of a show and switching channels is just plain inconsiderate. DS was basically given permission to watch his show and then has it taken away just because dad walks in? If dad's show was that important then dad should have been in there when it came on and not read first. I think there's a saying something like to have respect, you must show respect.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Now that is my dad. Except he won't be holding the remote in his "death grip". It will be sitting on the arm of the recliner. When we were kids, he would always have the tv turned up super loud. Somehow he would be able to fall asleep with it like that. My brother or I would sneak downstairs to try and at least turn the tv down. Sure enough, as soon as we got our hand above the remote, he would wake up. And of course, he wasn't sleeping. Even though we could hear him snoring upstairs. Nope, not sleeping, just resting his eyes. :rolleyes1:rolleyes1

There's some commercial with a guy asleep on a sofa clutching a remote...the sofa is put into one of those POD storage units and the wife grabs the remote out of his hand.

I don't think I've seen that commercial unless it's on either the Disney channel or Nick. I think those are the only 2 channels that work in my house right now. :rotfl2:

I just watched the first episode of Hell's Kitchen. Whoa, this is going to be one interesting season. It just stinks that DH isn't home to yell at the people with me.

Remind me to watch HK next week. I have no TV guide to remember it by.

I came upon the Food Channel's Disney Classics cake decorating challenge tonight. I just cannot imagine thinking up stuff like that and making a cake out of it.

I just had DD13 set her cell phone to remind us a 7:45 next Tuesday to watch it. I won't remember on my own because I am so use to it being on Thursdays.

Kids have been watching Animal Planet or something like that tonight. Maybe Discovery. :confused3

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!! I just figured out FINALLY how to change my avatar!!!!!:cool1:

Do you all like it?

This like opens up a whole new world to me! I might even be able to post pictures someday.

Ooo, I like! :thumbsup2

Posting pictures is easy once you have a photobucket account. Just load pictures from your computer into your account and just copy/paste the img code that they give you.
