Woo hoo...only 2 days left!!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

How will I ever get everything done in time?????:scared:

I thought about what Pikester had said about "eating her Hershey bar on Saturday night" and got to thinking...
I feel bad that more TKers couldn't join us this weekend so...If you would like to be called by one of us that night, during the campfire, and you have a Hershey bar near-by, please PM me your phone # and we'll try to call as many of you as we can. No TKer should be left behind if we can help it. :yay:

Kitty - I do believe that visitors to the campground are asked to leave at 9:30pm. We'll have to party hard until that time. :dance3:

Bacardi has these new magazine ads for bottled Sangria. Yummy....I may have to stop by NJ to go to the liquor warehouse there. Is it wrong to leave a 12 year old in the car while I go buy booze? :rotfl2: If I don't make it, check the evening news....I may have been arrested!

Older nephew is being officially sponsored by my mother to join us on the trip. I told him if he makes it to the train station, I'll get him. I'm already working on my "list of slave chores" for him when we get back....

It has been a cold, rainy summer so far! Its finally supposed to get hot and humid the next few days, but that'll just mean more storms. I hope that this will translate to a less brutal winter this year....

Morning all:

OK miss a few days and have a mountain to catch up on...I'll try to remember it all since I didn't bother quoting:

M&N - Have a ball with all those Tkers visiting.

Racer - Sorry about the in-laws and it definitely sucks being dragged along. Remember lots of hair pics.

MK- on Millionaire...I'd volunteer to be your phone a friend but with my luck they'd ask me a "what President..." question.

DL55 - Sorry I won't be here to keep you company...we leave Sat for a tour of northern Ontario.

Pike - Prayers for Grandmother...Did you see HP yet? We went last night...pretty good considering how much they had to leave out.

LITC - all I can say is REST WHILE YOU CAN!! Glad to hear everything is going OK.

Marie - How are the bugs...my DS thought they were neat :sad2:

Wendy - I probably won't talk to you before hand so have a great time in Scotland...the weather has been fantastic there so far this summer so hopefully it keeps up.

Hey SHMU - Good luck with those courses!

D&D - thanks for the offer of a phone call...I would have loved to chat with you all, unfortunately I'm on an island in northern Ontario and the cell reception will probably suck.

Hi Suki, Lighttech, Holly, Kerrie and anyone else I've missed.

Definitely go for the Sangria and of course you can leave a 12 year old...if they're old enough to babysit, they're old enough to be left in the car. If you're really worried lock him in.

Pikester and Sukie Hoping everything goes well with Gma and mom. My mom had that operation where they clear out the carotid artery. I was sitting at the kitchen table with her when she had a stroke from a loose clot! She fine now, that was about 20 years ago.
MagiKitty A 12 year old can be left in a car, unless you are parked at a bar all night. ;)
I have 100 cal Hersey snack packs. Will those do? Don't have a real candy bar in the house, it wouldn't last. :rotfl2:

Thanks guys for all the support re:12 year olds. Its a tough age for me to judge. I know what I was like at that age, and I thought I was the cat's pajamas. That alone should have let me know how immature 12 can be! I'm a little worried being "responsible" for a minor. I'm not sure what it appropriate as the adult. (I get so little practice!)

I'm going to be a big dork too and wear a hipsack at the park. Should go over well.

100 calories completely count DL55!

Ev, I don't think I could answer many "what President..." questions either! have fun and a safe trip up more north!

I want to see the HP movie too...glad to hear you liked it! They have a JK Rowling special on tv tonight...

You'll have some help when you get here from Racer and D&D...I was an elem librarian for a reason...
Don't worry about what you wear to the park. (except for Crocs :rotfl:) I like to have my hands free too.

Is it Saturday yet?

M&N...what are your plans for Saturday afternoon? Will you be able to meet up with Wendy and I before heading to the camp?

(I really need to at least start on a list of what to pack. So far: bug spray and sunblock)

Afternoon!!!

Lighttech checked in over at facebook. She doubts she's going to be able to make it at all this weekend. :sad1: So, we'll have to have a Hershey bar for her too.

Magikitty, 12 is fine to sit in the car while you run in the store. And you'll be fine being "responsible" for a minor. We are bringing a football, kickball, and fishing poles for the campground. Between that and all the food that a 12 year old boy could want, it will be a piece of cake for you.

Ev, about time you checked in. How's summer going for you?

Oh poo! I'm so sad that Lighttech can't make it after all...but I guess with two little ones and all that work, she needs to rest more than anything!

I had this image of me coming out with a box of potent potables and there being a cop asking why this kid was sitting there!

So, how many Hershey bars will be eating for everyone else? Are we eating the regular size ones or the trick-or-treat sized? :lmao: Talk about taking it for the team!

I have no plans for Sat except to meet you all! Just call me. I can run up there. I don't know many places in Harrisburg but am ok on this side of the river. The capital and city are on the other side.

Busy place today.

Summer's been very busy...Dsis just stopped by with her family and took DS back to her cottage, so it's just DD, the dog and me today. We'll head out there for dinner. I really should be finishing laundry and packing but can't seem to get my butt out of this chair.

You eat an extra large for me and I'll have a couple of Kit Kats or Coffee Crisps OK? Love deals that mean I get to eat chocolate.

Ev, how is your sister? Sounds like a nice way to spend the day. I should be packing too and yet here I sit right with ya. :lmao:

Added to my list, one extra large candy bar for Ev. :thumbsup2

Sister is better...still can't drive, the one day she tried her fingers went numb...she is going to the specialist on the 20th for a check up so we should know more then. Her butt cheeks are almost the same size again (one swelled up so she referred to it butt as a 1/2 JLo) Her neck is still better sore though so she has to take it easy.

Ev, glad is she is getting better. Let us know what the doctor says. Not that I'll understand it but I'll try to.

Ok, gotta get my butt in gear and attempt to get some stuff ready.

Catch everyone later!!!

Anything Hershey or chocolate for that matter, will do! :thumbsup2

I am definitely bringing my fanny/hip pack. Don't care what it looks like. At least my hands are free and I am not slummed over like Quazi Moto.

As far as presidential questions, my DS7 is the man to call. He is sooo into presidents and trivia that he'd know. Put him down as your phone a friend.

Bummer about Lighttech! :sad1:

Have the kids bring Gameboys or DS along. My boys will have theirs and would love to play against others. We're also bringing some velcro ball toss games. Anything that is easy to pack and doesn't take up much space.

I'm going to be on Millionaire!

:banana::cool1: That is sooo cool!!!! Just let us know when and we'll gladly be your phone a friend. :yay::yay::woohoo:
