Hazel, the Roomba, huh? I thought we were the only ones who named inanimate objects around the house. Too funny! So Hazel does a good job? I might have to check into one. I was gonna try to post a picture of the hairball dog but she was not cooperating. When I tried to get her to pose she decided I was trying to get her to speak. I doubt my DS appreciated it very much bright and early this morning. Anyway, aside from that the few pictures I took came out really crappy which lead me to a decision... I am going to get a new camera before our trip to WDW! I love the ease of use of my camera and the size but I am so tired of having to edit them with software to get a relatively decent picture. Any recommendations for a easy to use point and shoot?
So, are you talking to BF yet? Maybe you should make him grovel a little more. Who knows maybe you can get something added to your WDW trip to help make up for making you miss out on Millionaire.

Intercourse for the name of a city? What in the world were those people thinking? Well, I guess that's obvious! :lmao: We have a Paradise in Texas too among a slew of other ones... but pretty sure no Intercourse. Maybe that's how Needmore came into existence? I gotta pull my mind out of the gutter! My DS has corrupted me! Anyway, here's some more silly towns in Texas... Baby Head, Bigfoot, Bug Tussle, Catfish, Chocolate Bayou, Cut & Shoot, Ding Dong, Frognot, Glasscock, Gun Barrel City, Hell, Hoop & Holler, Jot Em Down, Looneyville, My Large Intestine, Nada, Noodle, Notrees, Smiley, Study Butte, Twitty, and Uncertain. I guess people in charge of naming cities sometimes apparently just use the first thing that pops in their head.

So yeah, Whgrn.... inquiring minds want to know... what happened to Peppermint Patty?

MEN!

I have a miniature bat that I threaten DH with. :rolleyes1
10 books to read before you die? I'll never make it!
Bible read off and on
Gone With the Wind read the book and watched the movie
Harry Potterr-don't know which one they wanted but maybe all? only watched the movies
Lord of the Rings also read The Hobbit
The Stand (S. King) :( have read Carrie, Salem's Lot and others, decided I didn't want to be frightened anymore
DaVinci Code have read
To Kill a Mockingbird not yet
Angels & Demons nope
Atlas Shrugged (don't know this one)
Catcher In the Rye had to for school

mariezp funny jokes

I had an encounter this morning when I took the dog for her walk. We always walk in a desert area which is surrounded by buildings but has some wildlife (rabbits and birds). Today we had a coyote follow us until we got back to the road! I was uneasy but he didn't try to get too close.

Ok, DL55....I have to ask. What's a vault toilet? And if there's no water, what exactly is going to go on with...ummm...nature calls? But the firepit does sound nice....

Oh, Marie, I cannot sing the praises of Hazel loud enough. She has changed my life, and encouraged further laziness on my part. I have her set to go off every day at 2pm, when she's done she goes back to base and charges up. Sometimes she does get in a pickle and is stuck, but I swear she's learning and doesn't get lost as much. I just clean her out after I sweep the kitchen after dinner. She's thin enough to fit under the couch and woo-hee you do NOT want to go under there without protection. She's gorgeous.

I also have the Scooba, which is the mop version, which is amazing. I run it once a week and it rocks! I use watered down vinegar in it (you can buy a Clorox solution also) and it cleans the heck out of my floors.

There's a Baby Head in Texas! OMG! That's a term of endearment I use all the time! I must visit one day.

I tried to talk to BF last night, but he just was not getting that I was upset overall and he did not add to it. I just wanted him to be supportive, to empathize, not belittle my feelings. I know it was stupid and insignificant, but can I help that I took it badly? Did it help that he was making me feel worse? I'm definitely in a better place today, and I'm trying to get over the disappointment....

D&D...I haven't heard of the Giver...I'll have to look into it.

Class trip to Intercourse! :woohoo:

MagiKitty A vault toilet is the modern equivalent to a pit toilet. The bottom section has chemicals to keep the smell down. You just do your business, no flushing but PLEASE put the toilet lid down after use. As a kid I had a fear of falling in, but now my butt is so large I don't worry about that anymore. :rotfl:

Afternoon! Just bopping in quick before I have to do a bunch of running around today.

I use to have a shot glass that says "Virginia is for lovers but Pennsylvania has Intercourse" Bought it when I was a teen and thought it was the funniest thing ever.

The only books I've read out of that list are The Stand, DaVinci Code, Angels & Demons, and parts of the Bible.

I've never seen any of the movies that were made out of those books either.

Gotta run.....be back later!

I can see the conversation went downhill after I left! :rotfl: Don't we have fun?

So now we're taking orders for frig magnets? I know there's some color pics of Amish people or farms with Intercourse on them. Don't quite remember. There's also one with direction arrows with Intercourse, Paradise and other towns on it.

I can't seem to get off of here today...

I came back to tell Marie that I've owned both an older Canon and newer Nikon digital cameras. The Canon took better pictures, but was bulkier. I chose to get a newer Nikon a while ago for more portability, but I had to sacrifice picture quality a bit. i know now that Canon is making smaller cameras and they continually get good ratings from consumers, but they do tend to be a bit pricier than other brands.

just keep your eyes out for a new camera. There will be lots of sales soon since its summer, there is leftover inventory from graduation presents, and people getting cameras for back to school.

Here's my plan M&N....Monday, I'll give nephew last chance to get some more rides in at Hershey. Early afternoon, we're heading over to Intercourse and Amish country then head back up north. Maybe early dinner there before we leave....

Don't have on my glasses...was blowing my hair and thought of the book--The Shack. I think that should make someone's list.

Maybe Whgrn will want to see the Amish area too on Monday. I know a good guide...not sure of when Racer has to be home either. Bird-in-hand has a good restaurant that's menu or buffet.

Man---I'm really squinting....Gotta get moving...chat tomorrow...

Maybe Whgrn will need to get some more Pattys at Hershey!!!

You guys totally crack me up! Pattie is still sitting in the basket on the counter. I believe she is asleep, as she has not called my name all day.

Loved the dating application. I may need to remember that in a couple of years.

Don't even talk about dustballs and hairballs and stuff under beds. I have taken everything out of DS's room, including under his bed. It was a scary event!:scared1: I also cleaned the kids' bathroom, and threw out 14 toothbrushes! REALLY!! All old and yucky. Plus about 10 little mini toothpaste tubes that were close to or completely empty, and a couple of bigger ones as well. Add in about 6 or 8 empty shampoo bottles, and I managed to fill an entire trash bag! At least I know that room will stay clean until August 15! I loaded all the cardboard into the back of my car, and tomorrow I will take it to the recycling center. I bagged up all the old and non-fitting clothes and put it on the front porch to be picked up by the Lupus Foundation on Friday. And I washed both sets of sheets from DS's beds to give to a friend from church who is also taking his comforter, rug, and lamp.

Oh, and did I mention I went to the gym this morning, followed by the post office, grocery store, and farm stand? I was a busy bee!!! Amazing the energy I get when I go to the gym...

I LOVE Amish country, and would love to stop in Intercourse, Bird-in-Hand, Paradise, Blue Ball, or any other town along the way. Not like I will be in a rush to get home!

OK, I need some advice. On DS's top bunk there were a bunch of stuffed animals. A few more in drawers, one under the bed. With the exception of one of them, he doesn't play with them, sleep with them, etc. I put 4 stuffed dogs (one of which he sleeps with) and his first teddy bear in his closet. The rest I am giving away. My BFF says that's mean. I did the same with DD's room last year and had no problem. So am I OK here, or should I pull them all out of the bag and wait til he gets home? There is NO place in his room to put them, now that he won't have a top bunk.

My neighbor's daughter has a loud, obnoxious voice, and I swear this kid NEVER shuts up. Think I can call the police and complain about nuisance yelling? (her mother is the snarky one who called the police about Duke barking)

The Giver is written by Lois Lowry. Had to read it for my Jr High Lit class and found it very intriguing. Check it out.

I think they should sell souvineer condoms. Now a days you just can't be too careful. :rotfl2:

I'd wait until he gets home and let him decided which to keep or get rid of. Stuffed animals are sacred to kids. Maybe tell him he can keep 2-3 but the rest have to go. That way he can have some ownership in that.

I just found ya'll on the 2nd page. Is everyone feeling alright?

I made it! I just qualified for Millionaire using my own name! Woo-hoo! BF is totally off the hook! Now I have to wait until Thursday to find out if I get a callback for the taping at the end of the month...

Now I'm all nervous that I will get called and make a complete fool of myself in front of Regis and the entire television audience! :scared1:

WOOOOHOOOO!!! Kitty's gonna be a millionaire! You go girl!

MagiKitty, congratulations! That is so exciting that you have qualified for Millionaire! Also let's BF off the hook too.
Also thanks for the PM. We'll see if anything comes from that. AND thanks for sharing your thoughts on cameras. I had a Canon that zonked out on me a few years back. Then I replaced it with a Panasonic. I think I want to go back to a Canon now because they get such good reviews.

DL55, did the hair stand up on the back of your neck when the Coyote was following you? That would make me a little nervous.

whgrn, I think I agree with D&DDisney on saving the stuffed animals for DS to decide. Might just keep you out of the doghouse.
My DD never gets rid of anything! The moment I try to sneak a few things out she has a radar that goes off and will immediately want the toy I am trying to get rid of.

Started typing this our earlier but got way sidetracked by SIL. I'll explain later.

Wendy, I agree with everyone about the stuffed animals. Save all of them and then let DS pick his favorites to keep. As for the the adoption stuff, if he doesn't want in on his wall anymore, save it in a decorative box and you can give it to him when he marries, moves out, or etc. I'm sure the right time to give it to him will just hit you.

marie. we have to canon cameras. One is a Powershot A630 and the other is a Powershot A540. They both take wonderful pictures. The 540 is bigger than the 630 and they are both bigger than the little pocket size ones that you can buy. All the pictures I have posted on facebook are taken with those 2 cameras. I prefer the A630 because it has a color accent setting that I can take black n white photos but still have one color show up. That is the one I primarily use on vacation. I use the 540 for when we are just out and about, if that makes sense.

DL55, a coyote!? :scared1: I like your weather out there but don't know if I could take coyotes.

D&D, souvenir condoms. :rotfl2::rotfl2: I know quite a few people those should be given to. :rotfl2:

Ok, SIL was here tonight. Till like 2:30 am. Apparently, her and my brother are having major problems in their marriage. I don't want to be stuck in the middle but I see both sides of their problems. Honestly, I think they never should have gotten married to begin with. As crazy as she is (y'all know the stories), what they have now is not the life that they should be bringing their son up in. They are both terribly unhappy in their marriage. And to a big point, I think my brother is acting like an ***. And she needs to let things go. How am I suppose to walk the line between who is right and who is wrong when I think they are both wrong?

Don't get me wrong, I don't think people should stay together just because of the kids. My parents did that and looking back, I wish they would not have. I'm stuck between the "family loyalty" of my brother and the "loyalty" of someone who is my friend.

Good morning beautiful TKers.:hippie:

Intercourse????:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl::lmao::lmao:

DL55 -- Coyote was following you??!!?? Scary. We see them here every now and then. If we sleep with the windows open, we can hear them hollowing at night sometimes.

Funny story. Might have shared awhile back. Don't remember.

We live across the street from a park with nature trails. DS went walking the trails by himself one day. Came back all excited saying he saw a coyote and 5 bucks.

DD replied, "Well did you pick up the 5 bucks?"
DS looked puzzled and said, "No"
DD asked, "Why not?"
DS answered, "Huh?":confused::confused::confused:

DD thought he saw 5 dollars...:rotfl2::rotfl2:

wghn --- I would ask son which stuffed animals he wants to leave out and which ones he would like to bless someone else with. (I was a big stuffed animal lover as a child. OK, so I still like them.:rolleyes1 Guess I never grew up.)

Racetrack -- Sorry about the brother and SIL problems. Puts you in a tight spot. I would try to stay out of it as much as possible.

WOOHOO for the MILLIONAIRE. That is exciting.:banana:

M&N--I agree. The Shack is a good book.

Hershey Trip is getting closer. Excited for all who are going. Eat some chocolate for me.:woohoo:

Ack!!!!! 4 days left and I am no where near ready. Just feel like I have to keep everything until the last minute cause I'll have to do :laundy: on more time and the food prep is done last. Kids and I have haircut appointments and my annual is scheduled this week. :headache: Then I got another interview but am having a hard time scheduling it with all that is going on. I am way to wired and excited to deal with all this. :hyper:
Anyone got a sedative???

I just found ya'll on the 2nd page. Is everyone feeling alright?
We're fine. Just so busy packing. Thanks for saving us.

Yay Kitty!!!!!!:cool1::cool1: I really hope you get picked. You'd be perfect for TV. Great personality and that's what those producers look for.
Doesn't Meredith host that show now??? My DS7 loves Millionaire and would be glued to the set if you get on.

:lmao::lmao:That's so funny. That's exactly what I thought when I read this. Did he pick up the money???:lmao::lmao:

racetrack - Sorry about your brother and SIL. I know what you mean about not wanting to get in the middle. So hard. Best you can do is send lots of prayers their way and hope everything works out for the best. :grouphug:
