I would so love to do 2 trips in one year but Hershey is our other trip this year even if only for a couple of days. And getting there is much more important than Disney 2 times. Now if I lived even closer, it would be a different story.

I haven't even thought about my picks for this week yet. I'll do that tomorrow while the kids are in school. I need to rebound from last week.

We could probably go down and stay at my BIL's. He's told us time and time again that we are always welcome. We haven't really taken him up on his offer but it's something to keep in the back of my mind. We could then cut out the hotel costs which is a big chunk of the price for us.

Last week's race was awful...I picked drivers with good career finishes at that track and the drivers blew it for me! (throwing blame on others!)

I couldn't imagine it either. For you, I'm glad they moved and you get to go often.

I keep thinking that I need to do other things with the kids but when I brought up going back to Disney this year instead of the cruise, DD14 was all for it. I honestly thought she was past that phase, you know. She's a teen and just too cool for all that. But she surprised me and it's kind of feeling like our first trip again.

I need to get to bed. I swear mornings come too soon.

To answer your FB question, I eat Danon Lite&Fit yogart. It has very litttle pieces of blueberries in it. I think I'm throwing in some frozen blueberries tomorrow. I like to add Cracklin O's cereal but ate it all. I can only have a half cup---cereal has lots of carbs.

Good morning ladies! Almost sunny here and definitely warmer. Lot of melting and puddle forming going on...

I watched a sweet movie called Adam last night. I didn't like the ending so much, so I looked at the disc's extra features and they had an "alternate ending". Hardly! Different shots and angles, but essentially the same ending. Its about a grown man with Aspergers, whose father dies and learns to cope and falls in love. Hugh Dancy is in it (he was in Jane Austen Book Club) and it was a lovely movie altogether.

Tonight the Office Baby arrives! I'm so excited!

M&N...I'm excited for your Sea World passes! When we visit, we always debate if we should go...and then we do and we love it. Its just a nice park. We did the Arctic ride this last time, its kinda set up like Star Tours in DHS. Its was fun and the animal displays in there were great.

My Dad got lost last night! He arrived in Manila safely and was supposed to fly out to our province in the morning. I received an email last night that he was confirmed on a different flight! Its on the same island, but about 90 minutes away....so I call my mother and ask her if she knows that Dad is NOT showing up at our local airport and all mayhem ensues! I don't know why my mother cannot call my SIL directly, but she had me call the SIL and find out what was going on...

Turns out she and my Dad got to the airport late and check-in was already closed. Instead of waiting for the next flight the next day, he got the next flight nearby...but forgot to tell those who were supposed to pick him up! But the found him ok and they're back in the new house.

Ah, the new house. My dad used the word "beautiful". In Dad's jargon, that is the ultimate comliment. He's happy and I'm glad.

Oh! Remember my bad brother? The one who went stupid and left my SIL and nieces? Well, apparently my Dad went Basic Instinct and stalked him at work....he took him out to lunch and chewed him out about what he's doing by not supporting his family properly. I haven't gotten the full scoop yet, but if anyone was going to be effective in knocking some sense into my bad brother, it'll be dad. I'm glad. He's been a jerk.

Whew...last night was really eventful via telephone. I'm dragging today. I was really worried there for a while for my Dad. Maybe this will convince my parents to travel together now...

I have not kept up with Kate. There's a thread just for her and DWTS. It sounded like it was getting 'judgemental' so watch out! She's building a dance studio so she can practice at home is what I heard.

Not to get into a who's better parenting debate about Jon and Kate because I think the both suck in my opinion. But if she is still doing her speaking engagements and now DWTS, when does she have time for her children? I have 4 and they just about run me into the ground. I've read that being on the show is not easy with lots and lots of practice.
Is Jon with the kids? Or is he still too busy out running around with college girls to be bothered?

I agree - who is watching the kids??? She's such a media hog.

I bought a mini herb growing kit today. I've been doing well with the jade plant I bought for Chinese New Year (well meaning its still alive) and I had to buy a new planter for it. I've decided to try my hand at growing fresh herbs. I'm ordinarily quite terrible at growing things, but my limited success has inflated my ego and my ambitions.

Mmmm... fresh herbs! I'm proud of you Kitty. Start small and soon we'll have you growing your own veggies too.

I feel better, now the nose will start to run and I will cough for the next month. It always goes like that.
Dh is trying to tweek the travel plans so I can stop to say hi to D&DDisney. Of course he just calls her "one of your Disney people".

You don't have to alter too much. I can meet you any place off the interstate I-94 if you're heading back through Chicago. Or if you're going home via I-43 I could meet you there too. Closer to my house.

Also, DD8 only eats one kind of cereal. She's very picky about all foods. They sell those little travel servings in the plastic bowl of the kind she likes. I always order a few of them. She'll eat one of those even when we stay at the hotels that have the free breakfast. It just makes things better for her to know that she has something she really likes for breakfast.

When we travel by car or camp I will take big boxes of cereal. Otherwise, I'll pour some into zip-lock bags to take along. Then I'll bring 4 bowls and spoons and just keep washing them out. Think we're going to be taking some cereal in Aug so we don't have to use our snack credit for breakfast stuff.

I think this is the way we'll be going. We try to avoid cities. It's hard to determine. We need to get state maps, right now we are using an atlas but it's old and doesn't have all the roads. We have to get to AAA but that's over an hour away. We have to have more than one reason to drive all the way over there.
