It is so not fair. When my nieces reached that age when they had to start shaving, my SIL sent them to me since she doesn't have to!

I'll admit I get lazy in the maintenance department come winter. I love tights!

My legs are not bad now at all. I hardly have any hairs there any more. I was thinking it was age. BUT I'm getting worse on the lip and neck!

I can barely take care of my eyebrows. Now I have to worry about my lips? Ugh...

eew...the WW ad is back...

I hardly ever get the WW ad. It's almost always the one advertising the latest discount at WDW. Maybe they just want me to book another trip.

I have my screen set for Universal so I get to see the Ad for a 4-night Harry Potter World package From $285* per adult. I want to gooooo!

I've love to go back to Universal again sometime soon. But my vacation plans are booked up for the next couple of years.

MK, are you watching the hockey game?

Flipping back and forth. Disney54us is watching the game and I'm letting her know when he is going to skate. Team work....

ooh, i just saw the movie commercial for the new Clash of the Titans. It looks far more scary than the original Harry Hamlin one!

I've seen that commercial a few times. I love the original. One of my all time favorites. But I don't know how I feel about a remake.

Dang y'all are chatty! Lots going on I guess. Here too.

That's just horrible about the SeaWorld incident. I feel so bad for the kids where were there to see it. They won't ever forget it, not that the adults would either. Scary stuff.

No idea how much we will get--different forecasts from everyone. The range seems to be 8-18 inches. I never thought I'd see the day when I HOPED for 8" of snow!

Trying to figure out what to do with the kids if there's no school tomorrow. I have to go to Dad's becuase he starts dialysis at home tomorrow night and I need to be there the first couple nights for backup. Fortunately, the ex said if they have no school, they can go to work with him for a short day, and then just be with him. I'd have sent them to BFF's house, but tomorrow is my former MIL's 80th birithday, and if there's any way to see her, they will.

I just HATE snow! No word yet on school. I'm betting on 2 snow days.

I would LOVE to go on a Disney cruise with y'all in 2012, but I'd say the chances are slim to none that I could do it without my kids, and since school runs so late in the year, I doubt we'd be out in time. Altho they do seem to have learned something from the snow issues this year. Next year's calendar is out, and we only have one week for Easter (which is really late in April, BTW), and the last day of school for DS is June 15. DD goes to the 20th (the HS is a seperate district), and also starts before Labor Day, but they also have 4 snow days built into the schedule, which DS doesn't have. Plus the HS will take away Martin Luther King Day and President's Day if the snow days come before that. As long as there aren't more than 9 snow days, they're ok.

I used a TA to book our cruise for next month, becuase I really didn't know where to start with finding a cruise out of NYC that time of year. the TA was great, very helpful, and got us not only a great price, but some OBC and some other freebies. Made me think again about how I always thought I'd like to be a TA. So now I'm almost 1/2 way thought the certification course. Who knows if I'll ever actually work as a TA? But I have learned SO much that will be helpful with my own traveling. Not to mention getting a great brush up on World Geography!

On the shaving issue, all I can say is "Oh puhleeeze!" If your kid needs to shave, does it really matter how old they are? I remember in 7th grade 2 of my friends had really hairy legs, and they wanted to shave. but their mothers said they had to wait until HS. So they would pull down their socks and shave the parts no one could see. Like that was any help! I was blessed with pretty un-hairy legs, and in fact until this year I have shaved maybe 4 times a year since my 20s. Suddenly I need to shave almost weekly. I don't in the winter though, but come capri weather I'll have to. Never had to shave my pits alot either, but I haven't had to at all since 2004 when I had surgery that somehow stopped the hair altogether. Haven't had to shave or use deoderant since! (I never was real stinky anyway, but now, not at all, even when I sweat like a pig!) My DD, OTOH, is a little gorilla. Her legs were hairy when she was 4! (I kid you not--thank heaven she's a blonde!) And when her pits started growing, it was a forest. She has to shave at least 2 times a week in summer. Otherwise I just make her do it on Saturday or Sunday before Sunday swim practice. DS is dying for facial hair, but since he has yet to show the slightest sign of puberty, I suspect that is a long time off. Heck, he just lost his last baby tooth today, at 13!! (thank God, now as soon as the new one grow in we can get him in braces!)

Well, I imagine I'll be on here alot for the next couple days. Looks like I'm gonna get snowed in at Mom and Dad's :scared1::scared1::scared1: with now kids:dance3::yay::cool1: so I'll have alot of time on my hands. Maybe i can finally get caught up on FB and here and get some work done!

Believe it or not, I have not watched the Olympics at all, other than the Opening Ceremonies and maybe one night early last week. Just too darn busy. Here it is 11pm, I should be in bed, and I still have soooo much to do. At least we're all packed--even the dog, who is going to "camp" first thing tomorrow morning.

I forgot about the school year running longer here too. Pikester, you're gonna have to post the dates that you're thinking about going again.

They just updated the forecast again. 15-20 inches. :scared1:

Ah, the heartache of DirecTv. The snow has arrived and is pounding pretty well, that thick, wet, heavy snow that's the worst to shovel. No weather reports, or news, until I suspect until the weather clears up sometime tomorrow. I'll just have to occupy myself with (gasp!) work....

But I do still have internet, and thus can watch some stuff online. Foiled again!

Good morning everyone. Let's get through this snowzilla!

Morning MK! We've only had a nice, pretty snow falling this morning so far, if there is such a thing. The worst is yet to come for us. I like snowzilla, it's as good a snowicane. :rotfl2:

Luckily, we still have our direct tv or else DH would be going nuts. I dread his attitude if it goes out later. The man will be miserable.

Kids are off and I'm betting they will be off tomorrow too. Need to go hunt up the earplugs Wendy sent to me. :rotfl2:

You stay safe up there.

Wow... miss a few days, miss A LOT!!!

Our "snow storm" on Monday, turned out to be nothing but 2 inches. However, yesterday they were predicting only flurries and we had a blizzard. Stupid Lake Michigan!!! Not a huge accumulation, but blowing and drifting snow so bad we could barely see across the street for a few hours. Of course it happend at rush hour so that made things worse. Took DH 2 hrs to get home and me about 1 hr. Tons of accidents. STupid winter!!!!!!!!

Sounds like y'all are getting hit again too. Stay safe. Enjoy your school off days. Since we are used to super snowy winters, our schools automatically build in a few snow days each year. Last year was worse so I think we had to make up 1 or 2 days. However, we didn't go past June 11th. Don't think we've ever gone past June 11. Most often get out of school around June 7th.

Pikester - So glad your cruise planning is going well. Gotta love Kitty's money saving ideas!:thumbsup2 I don't think we will be joining the cruisers after all. That week will be DH and my 20th wedding anniversary so I think we're going to do something else.

Next year DH and I were thinking of doing a longer vacation out west. We'd like to hit CA, NV, AZ, NM, UT etc. Maybe do a 2 week vacation for the first time in our lives. All will depend on money & jobs.
EV- I will be interested to hear your TR when you get back from your west coast vacation this year. I love the idea of fly to a specific point and driving around from there.

Hope your stocked up on the "essentials" before the storm. Sounds like you'll need to start drinking a little earlier today.
