Started on p4 and up to 7!

I just sent a email to M&N welcoming her to our Tker New Year.

Red is for good luck tomorrow, right? I just might have to dig out my red Kyle Busch sweatshirt for tomorrow. (sorry M&N, I had to get his name in there somewhere before the year ends :lmao:)

Cute outfits??? I gave those up after the 4th child.

I was thinking of you all at 10 even though no computer!
I think you should know that wearing clothing with a sports person it on New Year's day, brings bad luck to that person! :lmao:

If you don't have polka dots, you can eat 12 round items, like grapes or crackers, representing each of the months. I'm picking out round items from my trail mix at the moment! Its good to start the new year with hopes and dreams....

NOW you tell me...yoou need to post this around Christmas so we'll remember!

I've been eating Lindt chocolate balls all day and I know those things are round.

Did you eat 12? YUM!

Either today or tomorrow, I'll be doing both. Also, don't forget the "no cleaning or washing"! That's the one I particularly like....:rotfl:

I think this should be a rule at least 1 a week! :rotfl:

Back to p8!

I think that might be BAD luck! :lmao:

I knew I could count on you! I promise not to tease you about your post count until next month! :rotfl: (The quote cut off what she was replying to---JO's poor taste in sports personalities! :lmao:

Caught up!

Love those tubby smilies...incentive for sure!

Going to change to lighter clothes so I can do Wii Fit. I get too hot in my sweats. The bad thing is that it tells me I am obese and will tell me how much I weigh! Gets me going though...

Hey M&N and happy new year to you!

I hate the weigh in on the Wii. I hate the cutesy voice that tells me I'm obese. I'm here on the damn thing, aren't I? But I do think my avatar is much cuter pudgy....:thumbsup2

About to risk diving into the vortex of a closet....after I start my laundry! I really was trying to avoid it until the end of the week, but the hamper seems to have thrown up all the dirty clothes in the bathroom and I can't have two dangerous messes threatening to eat me! :rotfl2:

Tonight's mantra: no more uncomfortable bras! Post-shower, I"m going to try on everything and whatever is lumpy or bumpy is going to the shelter...not that I want to subject another woman to my lumps and bumps but maybe it'll look better on her than me....

The new Heroes is on tonight though, so I have to finish my Victoria's Secret show by 8pm! :happytv:

Yeah! I'm glad Baby Walter got his gifts. I'm sorry they're so big, but you hae to remember that I'm not too familiar with baby sizing. The next size down looked too too small (at least in my head it did) and I figured you probably got some clothes for Christmas, and these should take you through the end of winter. If they don't fit, please don't worry about giving them to someone who will use them. :thumbsup2

I always need to lose weight, and definitely the cold weather makes it harder for me to be motivated.

Thanks again Bobbie, I can't tell you how much we appreciate the clothing. I think the sizes will be good, a little big right now, but he can use them for a few months! And if they dont work, well maybe I will store them away in case baby Walter ends up with a lil' brother someday......

I was going to say the very same thing! This is why I laugh when everyone makes a NY resolution to lose weight. At the worst possible time of year! We'd all be much better off if we decided to lose weight in the Spring, when our bodies naturally want to shed a few pounds!

Ooooh, I like it. Sounds yummy! Dang, now I need to stop at Panera Bread...

LITC, how is it that that boy gets cuter with every picture?????

Well, it's 19 here this morning. it was SO hard to get up at 7:30--in fact, I actually got up at 7:40! I would love to go back to bed for an hour or 3, but I have things to do and places to go. (PT, grocery shopping, pharmacy) But at least I can stay home tonite when it really gets cold!

Hi Wendy!! I have no idea how that keeps happening, but I completely agree!!! LOL

As for the wii fit. DH bought that when I was pregnant. I got on it once and I think it said overweight. Well there was no way I was going to let that little smart alec tell me I was gaining weight (while pregnant), so I haven't been back on since!!!

Well, when you get back it will ask you where you've been! I just don't let the little voice get to me! It can be encouraging too. I like the thrill of victory when you do good. The agony of defeat is funny too. It just looks sooo down! Some of the balance ones are a riot...I know I would really kill myself on the ski jump! I love the penguin on the ice berg...I fall off a lot! I still get messed up steping off and on the board.

I'm terrible at the balance games too, but those seem to be the ones I enjoy most. I just got the Jenny McCarthy game and a dance one. The Jenny one is quite intimidating since it came with a webcam and you can "watch" yourself while you do poses. Haven't gotten that out yet!

The balance games are so funny when you mess up. I'm always falling into the ocean on the penguin one. Walking the tight rope is one of the worse. I just have a hard time getting my feet to move and keep my balance!

I used June 20 as my date for the ticker. I know that won't be the actual date we all are there but I just needed a starting point.
Mom and I ate at Bird-In-Hand on New Year's day. She didn't have time to start the pork & sauerkraut in the crock pot by the time I got it to her house. So we made it for Sat since we figured out it was going to be super cold and thought it better to stay in then. So we did our running around on Friday. There were a lot of Amish at the restaurant. I really had never seen as many there as then.
We stayed in on Sunday too. Mom's toothe was bothering her and we got to the dentist today...she's minus a tooth!

M&N....I can never get across that silly tightrope! I do like the balance one with the marbles, its just so funny. Please tell Mom to take it easy and to feel better! Now, I have a dumb question...if there were a lot of Amish at the restaurant, were there a lot of horses in the parking lot? When we were at Hershey, there were a few Amish families there, but I just couldn't figure out how they got there....

Can you tell I"m avoiding the bra showdown? The bras were winning!

I think maybe the amish can use public transportation. When I worked at Sea World in high school (back when there was one in Ohio) I think that is how they got there, and lots of them came.

Good evening!

Much better weather today. The roads have been cleaned up, the sun was shining and I was able to get my grocery done and have quiet time at home. I am so happy that the kids are back at school.

I'm hoping that I don't get a phone call to work tomorrow. I could use another day home without the kids to get some more stuff done. I am working Thursday and Friday so not working tomorrow would be OK for me.

I played tennis and golf on the Wii today. Said quite a few curse words too when my golf ball ended up in the drink. Why do they put the holes on those little islands anyways? :confused3

I'm so glad that M&N finally checked in. I was starting to wonder if you were OK.

Love the "big" smilies.

Found this one for you Wendy

Don't blame you about trying on bras...not that thrilling!
What do you do when that mouth thing comes across the tight rope?

They can travel in cars/vans that belong to others. Also the public busses. People drive the Amish around...not really a taxi. I did not look to see if there were any buggies there. Lancaster's WalMart and Target have parking spaces for buggies.

I don't get home until Monday afternoon usually. Thanks for thinking about me Pikester. If I have a major problem, I will call someone for sure. I need your support!

I like golf on the Wii...you'll get the hang of it. I usually change the direction on the last holes. That one I cannot do it without going to an island they don't really have you going to. I cannot do the golf on the Wii Fit. I'm not too good at tennis. I do better with bowling.

This needs to go in our siggie for HP!

Balance games are not the best choice for me. I could probably fall out of a chair....while seated!!!

Hmmm, are you sure we're not related???:lmao:

OMG I have to go check out that smiley site!

M&N...on the tightrope, whenever the big mouth comes towards me, I try to jump over it. I've never been successful though. I like tennis and bowling, but haven't tried the golf yet. I think I"ll put on a cute golf outfit and try it next time.

thanks for answering my Amish transportation question! Now, do they have to know the driver, or is it sort of the kindness of strangers? This is so interesting to me...

Pikester, those smilies are so great. I'll have to check out that site too.

M&N, thanks for the lesson. I never even thought about when I would see the Amish out at Hershey.

I have yet to play our Wii. I keep telling myself that I'll give it a try while the kids are in school. One day I will.

I am really not sure how they decide who they will travel with. I just know that there are certain people who drive for them. I'm pretty sure they get paid for it. The Amish are friendly with their non-Amish neighbors.

I tried to jump over the mouth but could not!

You need to try it JO...I think you would enjoy it.

Were you all talking about the thread where someone asked how to get more replies to their thread? Then WallE1 came up with the idea to run an experiment to see how many he could get with a fake thread/ It was a riot...I could not get through all the replies yet. WallE1 got 2 tags from it! I didn't know what yage meant. They must have locked and unlocked it several times. Someone posted it would be ok to get off the dis--they could just come back a year later! It goes beyond funny...
