Hey guys...had to come over and see Baby Walter...he's really is gorgeous!! I knew it had been a while but according to the top I haven't stopped by since Jan 4th!! I'll never get my post count up at this rate!

Seeing is you have Happy New Year in your siggie, I'd say its been a while. :lmao: Welcome back!!!

Ev - Should I send you some Easter decorations???:rotfl2:

Ok, so I wiki'd the Tooth Fairy. Its really not satisfying. Apparently its a common tradition across the globe. Its kinda a reward for a child growing strong. Lots of associations with a mouse for some reason. Also a really creepy thing in horror movies.

Hey there Ev! It has been a while!

I just checked Ticketmaster...I want to get Celtic Woman tickets on Monday. But its on presale now! I just don't have the secret password. What does a gal have to do? I feel its like the elusive Disney Pin! Grrr!

Useful email I just received!
What to take to bed with you - not a joke.
Pretty neat idea. Never thought of it before.
Put your car keys beside your bed at night
If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies.
Next time you come home for the night and you start to put your keys away, think of this: It's a security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no installation. Test it. It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or garage. If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break into your house, odds are the burglar/rapist won't stick around. After a few seconds, all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out there and sure enough the criminal won't want that. And remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there. This is something that should really be shared with everyone. Maybe it could save a life or a sexual abuse crime.
Someone also suggested to my Dad that he carry his car keys with him in case he falls outside and she doesn't hear him... He can activate the car alarm and then she'll know there's a problem..

Marie, M&N, Pikester, Jo --Thank you all for the nice words about Walter!

M&N -- I will try to post more pics!
Jo- I will try to remember the warning pre-picture, lol!

D&D - you have no idea how hard it was to get the whole word to show, he kept putting his arm in front of the "R"!!

Kitty -- Thank you, right now Walter loves to be held and he is not picky by whom, I hope it continues long enough to meet everyone!
Did you try googling ticket passwords? There are several sites that find out presale codes and publish them.

Thanks Ev and good to see you!

Hey LITC:

Sorry haven't chatted in a while...I've been short of time lately so only hanging on FB. If it wasn't for M&N mentioning Walter's new pic I'd probably still not have stopped in. As it is I better get my butt in gear and get something done around here.

Good morning ladies! Its going to be GORGEOUS around here today. Already have all the windows open in an attempt to air out the house. (it may be a little cold for it though...too early).

I read this thread on the Budget Board about cleaning the tub and shower and they mentioned this stuff from the Dollar Store called The Works and it is AMAZING. I had some stubborn stains for a bad hairdye incident and this stuff got all the old gunk off. It stinks but I am so happy with the results. I feel like Martha Stewart!

Thanks LITC for the password, but that didn't work. I found several sites that said to use either celtic, or woman, or irish and none of them worked. I just have to bite my fingers until Monday morning. I like them well enough, but the idea of taking Dad to a concert that he loves, watches it every time it comes on, is just so exciting for me.

LITC how is that baby? seriously, I can't wait to get my paws on him.

Morning Ev!

M&N...that was a great email about the car alarm. I never thought about using it at home.

I got the car washed yesterday. One more to go...I'll get it done this afternoon. THe suds are tri-colored: pink, blue, and green. Its so much fun to get the car washed and watch the bubbles!

Afternoon! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. The weather here is perfect. The kids are already outside and I'm heading out in a few minutes. DH is already on his way home from work and he's going to cookout tonight.

Hey Ev!!! Nice to see you here too. :goodvibes

MK, so that stuff from the Dollar Store really works? I've heard so many people raving about it but have been reluctant to buy it. With your seal of approval, I think I'll give it a try.

LITC, so you still plan on making it to the meet? Woohoo!!!!

M&N, that is a great idea and I never even though of that. I'm going to use it with DD14 when she stays home to babysit. You can never be too careful.

Pikester, but you saved her. :)

Good afternoon ladies!

If anyone is interested I am posting a thread from here on the DIS about a 7 yr old cancer patient who would like to recieve post cards. I'll be sending one out this week.:goodvibes

On a sunnier note...It is a beautiful day out there! Sun shining and birds singing. Kids have been running around in shorts all day. I've been able to get a bunch of housework done while they have been outside so I'm happy.

It's about time you checked in BKMETV!

Ok, ladies, so I'm watching New Moon and feel like a dirty Cougar for thinking thay Taylor Lautner may quite possibly be the yummiest thing since tiramisu. I am totally Team Jacob! The idea that he's half my age kind of makes me nauseous....

JOCA...I had my doubts about the Works too, but I figured for a buck I could give it a try. It really surprised me how well and how quickly it worked. If you do decide to use it, definitely wear latex gloves and open the windows. It took some scrubbing for the set in stains, but otherwise, it was just apply and rinse. I also bought the Works toilet cleaner, which I'll use in a few days. I'll let you know how that goes also...

Evening!!! I can't believe how great today's weather was. I spent the entire afternoon outside with the kids....even got a bit of sunburn. DH made it home around 1pm and helped the kids start digging up the garden. Can't wait to get out there and start planting.

MK, we are watching New Moon right now. And DD14 is definitely Team Jacob too. I'll tell you though, it sure is strange listening to your daughter talk about six-pack abs and how hot he is. :lmao:

I think I'll do a quick run to the Dollar Store tomorrow and pick up some of that cleaner. Is it only bathroom cleaner? I really need to find something that works good for the kitchen. The kids are always making a mess out there while they are making something. Fruit juice stains are so hard to get out.

It says tile and shower cleaner on it, so I guess it would depend on what material your kitchen counters are. I didn't look for other kitchen products. I'll have to find the bottle and see what else it says on the back. Of course, that'll have to be after I finish drooling over Jacob...

I can check tomorrow too. Usually if they have cleaner for one room, they will have for the others too.

The movie is finally over. Which just means DD14 will have to give us a play by play of how the book and movie are different.

Well, no notifications and I am so far behind I will never catch up. Not even gonna try.

The car keys idea is really good. I think I'm gonna try that!

OK, I need your advice. Our plans for the day we dock at Port Canaveral (from noon to 10 pm) have fallen through, so we were looking at other options. On a whim, I checked the park hours for Monday March 29. When I'd looked before, it said the parks close early. Well, they don't. They're open until 9 or 10, or later, depending on the park. We supposedly would leave the ship at 12:30 for the parks, which are about an hour away. They show it as an 8 hour shore excursion, so I assume that means we'd have about 6 hours in the park (much better than the 3 or 4 I'd thought there'd be). So here's my question. Do we go? The kids both said they'd like to do DHS, which would have been my LAST choice, but they are adamant. The cost with transfer is $175, but if I just buy the transfer for $64 and get the tix online for $79, it works out to $143 each. Still alot, but there really aren't any other options for shore excursions that appeal to us. I asked them "Disney or Universal" and they both said Disney without hesitation. There's nothing I can think of at DHS that excites me all that much, but they really would like to go. I'm just not sure it's worth it. Oh, and it's an EMH day at DHS too...

What do y'all think??

Wendy that is a little steep for a six hour day at the parks. Since you'll be getting there in the afternoon, you'll be limited to which FP you can get. If the kids are interested in riding the big rides, you'll only be able to do a few of those in that time. If they're interested in the shows, you'll be able to get more done.

You guys have no interest in the Kennedy Space Center? Is there an excursion to Sea World?
