TKers: Six threads under and still killin' time....

Wendy that is a little steep for a six hour day at the parks. Since you'll be getting there in the afternoon, you'll be limited to which FP you can get. If the kids are interested in riding the big rides, you'll only be able to do a few of those in that time. If they're interested in the shows, you'll be able to get more done.

You guys have no interest in the Kennedy Space Center? Is there an excursion to Sea World?

We just did the Space Center 2 years ago. (then again, we just did Disney 2 years ago, but that doesn't matter, does it?!?:lmao:) Yes, Sea World is an option, but I didn't even consider it. I doubt the kids would have any interest. I just checked and it's $149/person, including the transfer.

It is more than a little steep for 6 hours at the parks! And you are right about the FPs being gone. Especially with the EMH.

Well, I guess as long as they know they can't do everything and just plan it out carefully, you'll still have a good time, regardless!

I just looked up the Crowd Calendar on Touring Plans for that date and it's suppose to be a 10 and DHS is listed as one of the parks to avoid. For the high price and knowing it will more than likely be insanely crowded, I wouldn't waste the money. If the kids only get to do 1 or 2 things, are they going to mad and miserable about it?

Sea World has some rides now if that's what they are into.

thanks for the input. I told the kids it isn't going to work. They're disappointed, but they'll live.

We may just stay on the ship all day and chill. Works for me!

Save that excursion money and go to the spa!

Now that is a great idea! :thumbsup2

When I was looking at cruises from Baltimore, they all stopped in Cape Canaveral and it seemed like there wasn't much to do close by. If we had ended up booking a cruise, I think we would have stayed on the boat too. Seems like a perfect time to explore and relax.

Good morning ladies. Not quite as beautiful as yesterday, but wonderful nonetheless. I'm trying to prepare myself mentally for the drive to JFK; my mother arrives back
the Phils tonight at 9pm. I'm excited to get cheap gas in Jersey on the way there.

That, of course, conflicts with my watching the Amazing Race and the season premiere of Breaking Bad. I have to set the recorder for that!

I tried a new car wash yesterday and it wasn't nearly as thrilling as my usual one. It claimed tri-color bubbles, but I really only saw two. And the drying method wasn't nearly as effective. But car is clean of all that winter gunk so I'm pretty happy with it.

I had predicted Kansas to win it all. They're out of the tourney. I did really bad this year.

Coffee is preparing and I have the Sunday paper. Lovely.

Hello!
Did yard work yesterday to keep warm. Today is even colder. :cold: It's supposed to warm up again for a couple of days.

I agree to stay on the ship. DHS sounds terrible for that day.

I'm thinking of calling my sister. My mom isn't answering her phone. Need to see if she's just being a pain over some slight or if the phone isn't working or some thing else..:scared:

Left a message at my sister's. The last time mom was in the hospital sis called me. Maybe they are out having fun. I usually can't hear my cell phone ring either. :guilty:

I'm guilty of that too. Usually the phone is buried in the deep recessses of my purse that even if I do hear it, I can't find it in time to answer it properly. I'd guess they're out enjoying the weekend and lovely weather...

Yup, gonna stay on board and hit the spa!

DL55, I hope Mom is OK!

MK, you just crack me up!:lmao: Hope you get some of that cheap gas.

It's clouding up a bit here. Supposed to rain tomorrow and Tuesday, as well as be a good bit cooler. I've gotten used to the 70+ degree sunshine! And yes, all the snow is gone.

Watching the weather for Port Canaveral and the Bahamas. Looks like it's gonna max out in the upper 70s. Nice, but not exactly beach weather. Hmmmm...

Quick fly by... Walter went to the natural history museum today with his aunt and now that he is home, he seems a bit off. I think sometimes he doesn't like to be away from momma!!

Kitty -- really sorry the code didn;t work. Hopefully you can get your tix anyways.
Baby Walter is good thanks!

Jo-- So far still planning on the meet. Will see how the finances and the baby are closer to then but keeping my fingers crossed.

Good evening TKers!

Wendy, I'm so excited that you'll be leaving soon for a crusie. Have fun and enjoy!

Magi and DL55, I never hear my phone! DH picks on me about it all the time. When we were at Disney he would try to call me about meeting somewhere or to ask me a question and I would never hear the phone ringing. Oh well.

Not much happened today. Went grocery shopping, put the stuff away, Brian took the kids to his parents for a visit and to work on their bedroom ceiling while I stayed home and enjoyed the quiet, went shopping with my Mom and then came home to hang around for the night. Phew!

Ack! Tickets to Celtic Woman were supposed to go on sale 23 minutes ago! I can't get into the website...I think it crashed!

Oh, good morning ladies. Still a little groggy...didn't get in until after 1am from the airport....

Good Morning Kitty!
Bummer about the site crashing. Hope you still get those tickets. :thumbsup2
Grab yourself a cup of Joe and keep at it.

Sun has come back out here but its still cold - 40. Compared to Friday, this is freezing. My DS7 complained as we biked to school today saying "Mom, its below zero out here. I'm freezing."

Good morning...damp and yucky here too. Kind of got used to that sun out. I got a bunny wooden wreath for my garage people door, a tin bunny face for the yard and a spring flag so I got them set up when I got home today. Also did a walk around looking at the green flowers peeking out. I just love spring!
Thanks for not being too chatty...guess everyone was enjoying the good weather.
Glad you got to see Walter's pic EV. I knew some of us got to fb more than here and knew you could not pass up that sweet face!

JO---In case you missed it---JR is ahead of Kyle!!! :woohoo: Beat him in the race and in the points! Sorry, but had to brag while I could!

I got my tickets...I got my tickets! The website is back on and I got amazing seats for Dad and I. Off to the left, 7 rows from the stage! I think I may have to get Dad some earplugs for the show.

Its grey and gloomy here too. And I want to go outside! For those of you going to Hershey, the Temple of the Kitty has been updates. Mom brought back Hello Kitty seat covers for front and back in my favorite raspberry pink color. Its really over the top and I love it! There are even headrest pillows, seat belt covers, driveshaft covers and I don't know what else!
