ooh, cake is cake. Its fantastic in all its incarnations. So Victoria likes spice cake, huh? Is there frosting involved too?

Wipeout is my dirty secret. I don't ordinarily like slapstick humor, but for some reason Wipeout just makes me laugh so hard.

Nice to know your dirty secret. Does your lover mr. watermelon know?

I'm not normally a big frosting fan, but I'm craving sweets, so frosting it is! And, while waiting for it to cook, I ate some cinnamon donuts. I will definitely be huge this time!

You're my hero! Donuts and cake!

Dunkin Donuts has created a new donut called pina colada, it has flaked coconut on vanilla frosting on top of a donut with pinapple inside. Its absolutely decadent.

My lover mr. watermelon is on hiatus. I'm waiting to see whats on sale this week. I love the decadence of the Sunday paper, good coffee, and maybe I'll pick up a pina colada donut now that you have me thinking about donuts too!

Sadly, no Dunkin Donuts here. :sad2:

How about some strawberries? I just bought some. I'll tackle those after the cake.

That sounds good! I still have some blueberries to work through. After cheesecake.

Oh Ev, if you stop by. I thought of you! They have Tim Hortons in Rochester! I fell in love with the iced mocha commercials. Sadly, I didn't have a chance to visit. But I will next time.

I finally get a chance to check in here, and it's talk about food. ;)

We have a itty, bitty bakery across the street from us. It's Livvie's favorite treat to walk over there in the morning when they are first opening.

JO those are the best places! What does Livvie get? I"m taking all sorts of suggestions apparently.

Hi, JO! A bakery when it first opens sounds lovely. And, yummy.

My cake is done! Time to frost, eat, then finish moving stuff to paint.

She doesn't get to adventurous but every day they make a different kind of holiday donut. 4th of July had donuts with flag icing on them, or they will use the icing to make flowers, that type of stuff.

It keeps her happy for just a few cents.

Now that Pina Colada donut sounds wonderful. I love pineapple.

Hey Kerrie! Mmmm, cake.

Its those little things in life that make it so wonderful.

Did I mention that its red velvet cheesecake? its sitting next to me right now, just looking so delicious. I'm going in....

I feel like I'm gaining weight just reading these posts.

Yeah, she loves it and she seems to think they do it just for her.

I might end up switching our vacation plans again. When we had to cancel, I originally wanted to reschedule for T-day week. But I didn't want to pay higher prices for everything. I just got a pin for free dining that would cover that week. The free dining that Disney extended has black out dates that week.

Congrats on the pin, JO! That's wonderful! I do hope you'll be able to go....

I know Curt was not happy about the offsite place even if it was way bigger. I think some of the draw of the Disney vacation is he doesn't have to drive for a week while we are there. Since he drives so much for work, it's a big point with him.

I read your sister moved to Rochester. Curt's brother use to live there.

Congrats on the pin, JO! My DH sounds a lot like yours. Not wanting to drive to the parks is something he's mentioned, too.

I don't blame them at all for not wanting to drive. And free dining makes it that much sweeter!

It was my parents first time visiting Rochester. They thought it was really cute, as I do. Its really great in the summer, lots of festivals and activities. But winter will be the real test! Their apartment is just about 10 minutes down the street from the hospital, so my sister should be ok in bad weather. And they have some of the best barbecue ever--this place called Dinosaur barbecue. If I go back up in September, you can guess where we'll be having drinks!

Kerrie, that is one of the biggest sticking points with this vacation. And I can see Curt's point completely.

Does your DH travel far to get to work?

It can be anywhere between 45min to an hour each way. Full of idiots and he doesn't have a lot of patience. I understand his point of view, too. It's nice to not have to worry about driving for a little while.

Right now, Curt has a 1 1/2 drive with no traffic. Fridays can take up to 3 hours. His next job will be about 2 1/2 hours.

:scared1: No, thank you! I'm sure it's hard having your job site change all the time. My DH goes to the same shop everyday. I am always impressed with all a man will put up with to take care of his family.

We are so happy when he gets a job close to home. He has no set hours so he can suck up the overtime while still being home at decent time for dinner.

I don't know how he does it. And I am thankful that I have been able to stay home with the kids for the past few years.

Did I miss the cake conversation???? Mmmm cake!

I don't know Kerrie. You might be having a boy. When I was pregnant w/ DS all I craved was sweets and I was not a big sweets eater.
