Valued customer my butt! I just called Delta to find out if they allowed standby passengers with no checked luggage. They don't allow it for free, I'd have to pay $50 if I was able to catch an earlier flight?! Are you kidding me?

I chose Delta, both for D&D and also coz I'm an elite member of a different partner airline. I like to keep my mileage together. I've been able to fly standby for both American airlines and US Airways. For free. Ugh. I'm so miffed at Delta. Its bad enough they charge $25 for a first checked bag....grr!

I've already sent a letter of complaint. I feel better.

That being said, I'm trying to pack, but its ended up being more like putting away winter clothes (finally!) and finding summer clothes. Its a huge mess.

Well they must expect D&D to come to Hburg with her house in an uproar and her family needing her...why won't they refund for an act of God?

JO - I know I've missed a lot of the discussion, but I'm thinking about you. I'm sorry FIL is being such an a** and that MIL can't see it. But, you can't make people realize the position they are in. You are handling this all with strength and courage... and the attitude that allows you to do it all in style! Seriously though, when its worse for someone else you are trying to help, there's so much guilt involved when you feel upset and bad, and there just shouldn't be. This is going to be super tough on you and Curt too, don't be so hard on yourself. What you are doing is amazing.

Kitty - Just PM me the address already! $$ for the shirt my butt. DH gets them for free at the contests. His closet is overflowing, and he'd love to give one to someone who would enjoy it. What's the good of having stuff if you can't share it!?!? (Plus, honestly, you'd be doing us a favor, DH can't bring himself to throw them away, but he will give them away, and we HAVE to clean out his closet!)

Those of you going to Hershey tomorrow better take a ton of pics for me. And if any of you are brave enough to ride one of the coasters, you better stick my flat self in your bag and take me for ride. I could use a little good excitement right about now.

I'll put you in the capable hands of Pikester's eldest...He likes the wildest ones. I just love the eyes of the youngest when he gets off a coaster. He didn't do the upside ones though. I'm not sure what Pikester will do...she doesn't do circles either!

Ok, I feel better now that the coaster junkie in me is taken care of.

Congrats on the flights. I had just emailed D&D before everything happened with her to let her know we were postponing Disney too in light of what is going on with MIL. We think it's going to take a while to get her healthy again and don't feel comfortable leaving her on her own this soon.

And as it turns out, Livvie can't take the heat at all. I took her to a birthday party Saturday afternoon at a local playground. Within 45 minutes, she was beet red and had sweat dripping off of her. It looked like someone threw a bucket of water on her. The heat just seems to affect her much more than any of us. And even though I love the heat, I can't imagine taking her to Florida at the hottest part of the year.

Good morning ladies!

Just a really quick hello. We are taking it easy today and have plans to do the Indian Echo Caverns sometime today. Later we will meet up with the TKers for our "picnic" and then see where we go from there.

All this talk of tornados and bad weather had me dreaming of them. Pretty freaky nightmares but so glad I didn't have to live through it! Hugs and prayers continue for D&D and family.

Hey Jo, I'll try to get DS12 to take you on a coaster. I said TRY because he's been being a normal teenager.

M&N, We love that time of year for Disney! I'm so jealous!

Pikester- sounds like a fun day! Hope it doesn't rain on your parade. That would stink...

Kinda excited for the rest of this week. Taking darling niece to the zoo on Friday and then swimming afterwards. Should be a super fun day for her. She's one of those children who is never really a problem at all when you take them somewhere. Definately not a runner.

Gotta get going, dentist appointment at 8:30 and darling Ben is coming at 8 and its now 7:47 here!!! YIKES!
