I feel like I need a nap. I think it must be the weather. I did get enough sleep last night. I get more sleep when at Mom's than I do here...I wondder why?

We had a storm go through...the wind really got bad and it poured. No thunder or lightning. I do like storms if they are during the day...I think you had discussed that earlier.

JO---forgot to say I am ok with Kyle winning...was rooting for Jeffie though to pass him. I was just glad it wasn't Jimmie. Did you and D&D copy each other's picks this week?

I just got a surprise call from my SISTER! Her ears must have been burning since we were just discussing families yesterday. Anyway, she invited us to come down for mother's day at her restaurant. I've been meaning to make my way back over there anyway but is all the sweeter that I actually got an invite. Those do not happen very often! She and her kids have been having some issues so I am thinking she is feeling mighty lonesome right now. Guess I can go lend and ear and offer my sage advice.

Just talked to my friend. She is so thankful for all the prayers. She said she almost died. Her blood sugar was 24 when her daughter found her on Friday. She is very tired but doing ok. She has to be off work at least 6 weeks from what the dr said. So thanks my dear TK friends...

OMG. I am so glad she is doing better, but what a scary experience.

We'll fly together to Detroit, and then I'll head to Kansas. I'm going to meet BF's family. Ack! Especially with his grandmother's illness, we think it was time I spend time with his family. Boy am I nervous though! He holds his grandmother in such high esteem, I hope she likes me...

I really hope they do. My main concern is that I'm so very NY, so very East Coast. We have an entirely different mindset and attitude here. I'd hate to be inadvertently offensive or rude. His grandparents are rather conservative, and I just want them to like me very much.

I lived in Chicago for a while, and even for a sprawling metropolitan area, I could feel how "east coast" I am. I really didn't think too much of it, until in graduate school, it was really polar--the West Coast vs East Coast people. Not that we didn't get along or anything, but there were just these innate differences.

I've travelled out to the West coast to visit friends, and its just not me. And most of my friends who were West coast transplants have returned here.

So, as if meeting the greatest influence on BF's life weren't difficult enough, now I have to worry about the little things. I am painfully aware of being polite, so that won't be an issue. But its the unforeseen issues that I worry about!

yeah it was like another planet when i move NY to FL(both east coast) to indiana, it was so werid.. im still not comfortable here, i want to move back to FL,

i have never had any desire to go to the west coast.. only thing i would want to visit is the san deigo zoo..
