D&D, I haven't decided about FD. I know I shouldn't hesitate but I am actually going to discuss it with DH. I guess since it is actually his vacation, he should have some say in it. I mean, I did decide where we are going, when we are going, who we are going with, how long we are going. I guess letting him decide which dining plan to use evens it up.

Good morning ladies! What a difference a day makes..it was gorgeous and 90 degrees yesterday. Today its a downpour. But really humid. My hair is going nuts.

Guess what I found yesterday!

My niece/goddaughter Alicia! She'll be one at the end of the month. She's showing her teeth and her "go!go!", which is what she calls her walker. She's such a good baby! I got to play with her for hours and the only time she cried is when we left! She has my hair. Her mom asked me for hair advice...she's unfamiliar with curls. I'll get on top of that.

DL55...so sorry to hear about your Mom's stroke. Hope she has a speedy recovery.

Sukie: feel better and don't try to do too much, nice to see you again.

JO: happy birthday to DD! sorry to hear about Dad troubles. I never had fuzzy grandparents either. I wish I did.

jenn...so tragic about the tornado story. Do hope that they have some solace that it was quick and that so many people are praying for them.

Hope Lily is having a wonderful vacation...snap lots of pics. I'm camera happy too. You can always erase those that don't turn out. I'm one for food porn too. I think people used to think I was strange but they always want to see them! Wait til you go on a cruise...food pics are a necessity then!

I just got a surprise call from my SISTER! Her ears must have been burning since we were just discussing families yesterday. Anyway, she invited us to come down for mother's day at her restaurant. I've been meaning to make my way back over there anyway but is all the sweeter that I actually got an invite. Those do not happen very often! She and her kids have been having some issues so I am thinking she is feeling mighty lonesome right now. Guess I can go lend and ear and offer my sage advice.

Marie...how strange is it that your sister called? How wonderful! I hope you have a wonderful luncheon together. Take pictures too...it may be the beginning of new phase in your relationship.

D...maybe we should just go grocery together when I get there. We'll pick up stuff and start preparing...I need to find a bartender's guide. Let's hit the liquor store and get the blender going!

Just talked to my friend. She is so thankful for all the prayers. She said she almost died. Her blood sugar was 24 when her daughter found her on Friday. She is very tired but doing ok. She has to be off work at least 6 weeks from what the dr said. So thanks my dear TK friends...

100 MILE AN HOUR GOAT

Two rednecks are out hunting, and as they are walking along they come upon a huge hole in the ground.

They approach it and are amazed by the size of it. The first hunter says "Wow, that's some hole; I can't even see the bottom. I wonder how deep it is."

The second hunter says, "I don't know, let's throw something down and listen and see how long it takes to hit bottom."

The first hunter says, "There's this old automobile transmission here, give me a hand and we'll throw it in and see".

So they pick it up and carry it over, and count one, and two, and three, and throw it in the hole.

They are standing there listening and looking over the edge and they hear a rustling in the brush behind them.

As they turn around they see a goat come crashing through the brush, run up to the hole with no hesitation, and jumped in head first.

While they are standing there looking at each other, looking in the hole and trying to figure out what that was all about, an old farmer walks up. "Say there", says the farmer, "you fellers didn't happen to see my goat around here anywhere, did you?"

The first hunter says, "Funny you should ask, but we were just standing here a minute ago and a goat came running out of the bushes doin' about a hunert miles an hour and jumped head first into this hole here!"

The old farmer said, "Why that's impossible! I had him chained to a transmission!"

Good morning! Rainy and windy here but it looks like it's only for today. The rest of the week is looking good.

Today is DD 7th birthday. She was so excited this morning to be able to take in a treat to share with her class. I love seeing that joy on her face.
