Hi!
I feel bad that I don't respond. We really need to get the other computer on line so I don't have to share with DH.

I just found out my mom had a stroke while I was on my cruise. I must have talked to her a couple of days before it happened. When I called last Sunday I just thought she had her phone off. She was in the hospital and then at a rehabilitation center. She insisted she had to come home yesterday so she would be home for my phone call. She sounds the same just tired.

Our heater came on this am. Brr..it's not supposed to be in the 60s and cloudy in May! It's supposed to be 70s and sunny.

I think it was a minor stroke but she was out of it for a while. Someone found her in the am still in her recliner, she hadn't gone to bed. I'm not sure of any physical problems. I forgot to ask her if she's still planning to go to Disneyland in June. I'm sure she still wants to go.

Hi JO. I am doing ok. My job has changed a little. On 40hrs now. An old injury has flared up and now I am on restrictions. I am waiting for them to find me something to do. It was a workmans comp thing. In the mean time my hours are 7:30am -4:00pm. Right now I am helping out in customer service. Is your DD 7 or 8? If I got it wrong I am sorry.

shes doing good, she took off the firts bandages last night, she has the strips and the dissolving stitches, but she gets to take a shower so shes happy about that

Just a quick post to say hello. Spent the day at the beach with DD. It was gorgeous out there today! I took a few pics, I will try to get her to upload them from her phone for me. Right now her and DH are watching Twilight.

DH is not even listening to the Disney thing. I need more pixi dust!!! (me having a fit ha ha ha)

DL- I'm sorry to hear about your Mom. Sounds like she is going to be okay though. When does she go back for a check?

It's gonna be hot here today. It's already 79 and getting warmer. Too bad it's suppose to rain for the next couple of days. I'm going to enjoy this weather while I can.

LITC, Walter keeps you on your toes, huh? DD8 is an early riser. But she will just come and watch tv with me while I lay on the couch so I at least get to rest.

Just finished working round 2 of the rummage sale at the boys' school. We had quite the crowd there. Beautiful day to be out rummaging. Next, I'll go back to help them clean up later today.

We rented the Blind Side last night. I loved it. Sandra Bullock is great and I didn't even recognize Tim McGraw --- not so sexy there w/o his hat, facial hair and glasses. Guess I'll have to go give Brad P. another look-see.

Also want to share w/ my TKer buddies that it looks like I'll be joining y'all at the Hershey Meet. Going to do a "Mom Only" trip and fly in. This will be my first time away from DH and the kids. However, I am looking forward to seeing everyone in person. Last year's meet was so much fun and I believe the face-to-face meeting really makes people feel closer - literally. We've bonded so much through words but it really is SPECIAL to get to see and chat in person.

D&D blind side was a great movie, after we saw it Dh even said we should buy it.
Yippee now I REALLY hope I make the hershey trip. Wanna meet D&D!!

I have tons of packing lists that I make because I'm always afraid I'm going to forget something. And I still usually forget something. The worst was the year I forgot all the cell phone chargers.

My favorite driver is kicking butt right now.

Something I usually do that works is besides the normal vacation packing (shorts, t-shirts, underware, etc) I jot things that I use during my "normal" day (toothbrush, phone charger) as I use them for a few days before the trip and that helps me to remember things to pack.

Finally a moment to sit and relax. Spent the afternoon shopping for new shoes for DD14. Trying to find sandals that she likes and are not above the heel height limit and still be in my price range was almost impossible. We ended up at Payless and they were having a buy one, get one sale. So now DD8 has new sneakers.

pepper, that sounds like such a wonderful way to spend the day. The beach down there is just so gorgeous. I think I would spend every day there if I could. Sorry you DH is not even entertaining the idea of Disney.

yeah she hates all the gunk they stick on her and rub on her..


its horrible everythgin thats going on lately, my friends cousin was killed the other day, all those tornados in arkanasas, went by her house, and hit a tree, tree fell right into her room, killed her instantly, i told my friend at least her cousin didnt suffer.. it wasnt drawn out.. its horrible either way.. but no suffering is a good thing

So you all know how I was upset with my dad because he forgot DD14's birthday. I still haven't talked to him. Anyway, over the weekend, I accidentally sent him an email meant for someone else. He replied back with a bunch of ?????. I apologized and and told him what happened. At the end of that email, I asked him how everyone is doing. Just making small talk to try and get back in touch.

Not one word in reply from him. This man checks his email a lot during the day. Tomorrow is DD6's birthday and I know she won't hear from him either. I went through so much with him after my parents divorced.

I just don't know if I should write him off for the time being. It breaks my heart to feel like this but now that's he's married, I feel like I don't fit into his life at all.

yeah it sure didnt help her any. Shes alreayd terrified of any kind of storm, just a thunderstorm and she freaked out, tornadoes she always freaked, so im sure it will get worse now..

I love thunderstorms. When we have one, I sit by our big front windows and watch. Earthquakes terrify me. There is just never any warning. At least with most other natural disasters, you get some kind of warning. I can deal if I have some time to prepare.

I didn't say anything to him yet. That's why I asked how everyone is doing at the end of the last email. I wanted to get an idea of what is going on. Now I just have to figure out what to do next.
