You gotta admit, Crocs come in really handy on water rides AND airport security. I don't know...they may be the perfect vacation footwear.

That may be, but I STILL can't wear them.
Gina will back me up on this one.

I did it! I finally broke 50! I am ranked 49/9733 on that stupid History channel quiz that's been driving me nuts! Next goal: top 30! But that's gotta be another day....

Good Night all!

YAY!!!! We get to ride home together!!!
Meeting the family is tough but you have nothing to worry about. I'm a midwest girl born and raised and I liked you from the moment I met you.

Hey, hey...what's wrong w/ the midwest??

Okay... I'm going to pretend I didn't read this and I'll forgive you on the Crocs cuz I like you both. But don't let it happen again.

Aren't you more of a northern girl like me???

Good morning ladies! Still some warm weather, just cloudy, with expected storms later this evening. that's ok. I'll take it.

jenn...I understand how some people are just not acclimated to other areas. Just use it to motivate you to get down to Florida like you wish. BF would like to live in Florida, but its just too hot for me. I'd like something more temperate, with seasons.

I woke BF up to do the happy dance about my History quiz results. He's mad at me for it. He knows I won't be happy until I either top it or the quiz is no longer available. He just doesn't get my competitive streak. He's too laid back. Competition is motivation!

Let's have a good day ladies!

That's true...it won't be this year. Spent all my $ on the motorhome trip, but maybe I'll work on next year. The problem is he'll want to stay at Poly again so I'll have to start saving up.

Ev, I"m aiming for next year! Its been so hard this year not having plans. That being said, we're not using our timeshare this year, so I deposited it. I'm hoping to exchange it for the Boardwalk!

Dad took the missing Chi-Chi pretty hard. Sitting in the car last night driving back, I just had this dread. I couldn't tell him while driving. When we got home, everyone was welcoming him and he asked "but where's my cat?". I had to fess up that I'm a terrible person and lost her. He went outside calling for her tonight, but no luck so far....

Both totally awesome hotel choices. Loved them both.

So sorry about the car. Does she have a collar on in case she is found?

Night Ev!

I really want to do the cruise but then there are so many other things I want to do too. I think I just need to hit the lottery.

I'll buy a ticket with you!

And as far as the crocs, as long as they make them I will wear them. I used to get the worst cramps in my legs all the way up to my lower back. I tried every shoe that so and so said their second cousin swore by, and nothing helped. Until crocs. I wore a pair for 2 days and the pain was gone. So for me they could be ugly as all get out and I would still wear them. I never want to have that pain again.
So D&D you will have to love me with my crocs on. (And I know you will!)

Moning LITC! Chi-Chi had one of those cat collars, the one where it pulls off easily, in case she gets caught. I don't know how sturdy it'll be on her being outside for several days.

I think the crocs issue does depend on the feet and the style. On some people, it looks like they're wearing boats, on other people they look really cute. (I happen to be of the cute kind). I do find that Crocs run large on my feet, so instead of my usual size 9, I get 8s and the look/feel much better. The only issue is once in a while they'll make that embarrassing squishy noise. But yes, they are are so light that they don't hurt my feet at all. And I dont' have to worry about my pedicure like if I wear flip-flops!

Good morning MK!!

I'm with you on the crocs. They do look less than good on some people. I think mine look pretty good, but like I said early, the pain being gone after wearing them only 2 days has made me a permanent fan!

And hey there are plenty of shoe styles out there, everyone can find something right!!

I'm still hoping chi chi shows up for you guys!

Thanks guys...I knew the Crocks issue would spur on the comments and you didn't let me down! :rotfl: They are not for me but I have always felt that it's not how they look...it's how a shoe feels on your foot that matters. My feet cannot take all that rubber. My feel sweat in rubber flip flops! And I do not normally have sweaty feet! And, of course, any shoe would look cute on your feet Kitty!

I could not live in FL either...way too hot in the summer. I like the more season changing too. I can live with a little snow. I do love palm trees though. I have always lived in the east. I would imagine I would prefer WI to IN. I have never been to IN though. Is it hilly around you Jenn?

Of course you are!!:rotfl:

Happy 8 month birthday Walter! (saw your ticker)

OMG...Walter is 8 months already! I knew him when he was a little itty bitty bump on his Mommy.

As I've gotten older, it has definitely been more about comfort with cute. I can't believe I used to wear heels all the time! And in the late 90s, it was all about the high platform clunky too--so heavy! I wear the FitFlops at home, they are super comfortable, although I haven't noticed any change in the caboose like they promised. Oh well. At least my feet don't hurt.

Thanks Ev and Kitty, yes my little baby boy is a whole 8 months old today.
Happy Happy birthday baby boy! Mama loves you.

Kitty was one of the very first non-family members to know about him!

Happy 8 Months Baby Walter!

We'll soon have to stop calling him a baby! Extra hugs and kisses to him!

Is anyone flying AirTran sometime soon? Or know someone who is? I just recieved a $25 voucher but it has to be used before the end of this month....

i am using it as motivation

i had enough of almost winter, winter, still winter seasons from NY...
i should show you that list, you would get a kick out of it

YOU KNOW YOU ARE A TRUE UPSTATE NEW YORKER WHEN:
1. "Vacation" means going South past Syracuse for the weekend.
2. You measure distance in hours.
3. You know several people who have hit a deer more than once
.4. You often switch from "heat" to "A/C" in the same day and back again.
5. You can drive 65 mph through 2 feet of snow during a raging blizzard, without flinching.
6. You see people wearing camouflage at social events (including weddings).
7. You install security lights on your house and garage and leave both unlocked.
8. You carry jumper cables in your car and your girlfriend / wife knows how to use them.
9. You design your kid's Halloween costume to fit over a snowsuit.
10. Driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow.
11. You know all 4 seasons: almost winter, winter, still winter, and road construction.
12. You can identify a southern or eastern accent.
13. Your idea of creative landscaping is a statue of a deer next to your blue spruce.
14. You were unaware that there is a legal drinking age.
15. Down South to you means Corning.
16. A brat is something you eat.
17. Your neighbor throws a party to celebrate his new shed.
18. You go out for a fish fry every Friday.
19. Your 4th of July picnic was moved indoors due to frost.
20. You have more miles on your snow blower than your car
.21. You find 10 degrees "a little chilly."
22. You actually understand these jokes, and you forward them to all your Upstate New York friends.
