Wipeout is coming on now on ABC. Its going to be interesting. Blind date pairings!

Evenin' everyone!!

M&N- Thank goodness no one was hurt and there was not more damage to your house. Good thing you stayed at your moms. I hate to be home alone during bad storms.

MK- I hope you and BF have been able to patch things up. Just try to remember he is a man...they think different that we do. I don't mean that in a bad way towards men, it just is what it is. Tell him he hurt your feelings, let him give his awkward apology (My DH "shows" more than "says" lol) Then kiss and make up. Life is waaayyy too short. Time is precious. :grouphug: Or, you could just step on his toe and tell him to go to (explicit). :cheer2: (I love to put the little cheer girl after snide suggestions haha)

I totally am jealous about the Hershey Park meet. I am hoping to get to meet up with D&D and Jo though!!!

Hi Lilmiss!!!!!

Hi to everyone!!!!!

Thanks Pepper....hugs! I'm feeling much better but dreading having to talk with BF. I'm still kinda weepy and I don't want to cry again. But I will talk to him (after Glee of course....I need to sing!)

I'm recording Hell's Kitchen so no spoilers JO! :goodvibes

Just had to talk to my DS12 the other day about only talking about himself. We both went for a walk and he was talking to me. I was joining him in the conversation but every now and then I would point something out or bring up a different topic to which he would just keep going with the topic that he brought up. I pointed out to him that what he was doing was very impolite and a little selfish. I told him there is nothing wrong with telling people what is going on with your life but the least that any of us can do is to ask others how they are doing with there lives.

So on that note, How is everybody? Was the weather nice for you? What was for supper?

Magi: Don't want to make you tear up so .

My lips are sealed, Pikester.

We had that talk with Jackie after this weekend. The whole it's not all about you deal. I think such a shame that not as many parents take the time to teach their kids these basic "rules" of society.

We made pizza tonight. One cheese, one with veggies including hot peppers, and one with just pepperoni. So cheap and easy.

How was your day?

I had honey bunches of oats cereal. I was too lazy to make french toast. I was in a breakfast mood.

You guys are all such great parents!

We love to do breakfast for dinner. We had eggs, sausage, and toast last week. The kids love it because I don't normally cook breakfast in the morning. Plus, it's cheap and easy. I think I see a theme here. :lmao:

Hi everyone:

Looks like a missed all the good conversations...I really could have added to the men bashing, and the undie testing sounds interesting. Glad nothing was damaged by the falling trees.

I'm in the middle of a crazy week...ear specialist today (1 hour away), pre-op app't tomorrow (90 min away) then girls night on Thurs and golf tournie Fri (2 hours away)...gonna put a lot of miles on the old Sienna this week!!

Ev, is it for your ears and are you playing in the tourney? That is one crazy week!

DH took DS9 to a baseball game so I'm sure they ate lots of healthy stuff. ;) I had a Lean Cuisine and DS12 had a mac & cheese cup. No way was I cooking for just the two of us.

Homemade pizza is AWESOME!

Went to the dentist today because I broke a tooth back in April. It was mostly filling and didn't hurt so I was able to wait until today to get it looked at. Good thing because this was the first available appt I could get at the time. I figured he would just look at it but he actually applied more filling to it. I'm thinking about getting a crown put on it but due to insurance can't do anything until next year. I was told not to chew on that side so I've been having to take little bites of everything.

Magi, thanks for the "great parents" remark. There are some days when I wish I could go Homer Simpson on them.

Hi Ev! You sound way to busy. Don't run yourself ragged and have a good time with the girls!

Ok, maybe y'all can answer a question for me (google didn't help). What is grasshopper pie? And how is grasshopper pie ice cream different from mint chocolate chip? (they talk about it on the commcercial....)

Pike, sorry to hear about that tooth!

M&N - Glad you and your house are okay! How scary!!!!

Did you watch the race? Kyle was causing problems again. But then what else is new lately? :lmao:
He's such a trouble maker!!!!;)

A reminder - We will be leaving on the 14th heading East. :cool1: No internet so contact me soon if there are any changes. popcorn::
Its coming up fast!!! Do we have your phone # in case something comes up?

BF and I had a horrible fight and I just want to wring his neck right now. He's so darn stubborn about things and just won't ask for anything. I know, men and their egos. But I can't tell you how many times he's just made things so much more difficult just because he didn't ask/check first. I tried to remind him about calling his car insurance and he was just like "I know my policy". That just rubbed me the wrong way. There's nothing wrong with just double checking.

He can go off and do whatever her wants. I'm really miffed at him.
 I hope things are patched up soon.

What is a bra/panty campaign? You don't go marching in your underwear do you? ;):lmao:
:rotfl2:
OH great!!! I hope Kitty doesn't walk around in her unmentionables while she's in Hershey. It will be like rooming w/ a saleswoman.

I totally am jealous about the Hershey Park meet. I am hoping to get to meet up with D&D and Jo though!!!
Can't wait to see you too Pepper!!:yay:

I had my ultrasound today. Should get results by week's end. Feeling a little better but still feel miserable after I eat.

Ev, is it for your ears and are you playing in the tourney? That is one crazy week!

I see the ear guy every few months to get wax removed since I have very narrow canals. Pre-op was for my gall bladder surgery which is on the 14th. Yes I'm play in the tournie...well drinking and trying to play. Last year we didn't win anything but picked up the Dean of Theology which I figure is an accomplishment!! :rotfl:

Ok, maybe y'all can answer a question for me (google didn't help). What is grasshopper pie? And how is grasshopper pie ice cream different from mint chocolate chip? (they talk about it on the commcercial....)

Pike, sorry to hear about that tooth!

Grasshopper pie is usually made with the oreo crumb crust and the filling is made with green creme de menthe.

I'm not one, but I know how hard being a parent is. Too many parents don;t have dinner with their kids. I know with schedules, it's not always possible but it can work some of the time. And the example Pikester gave is perfect...you were showing how to have conversations but having a special time with him. I'm sure he will treasure those special times when he gets older. Even the punishments seem better when you get older...it is proof parents care.
Yikes...let's not talk of teeth...I am way overdue for the dentist!
EV---is anything near you? ;) Keeping busy is good.
I wasn't in the mood for regular meals today either. (I'm not saying pizza isn't regular food!) Mom made potato salad and deviled eggs over the weekend so I had that and ham salad I bought today. I guess I was cheap and easy too!

Did you take the Dean of Theology home?

D...I was wondering how you were...I thought the US was last week? How are you feeling overall?

Ooh, grasshopper pie sounds yum!
