Happy Thanksgiving back to you Chiiru!

Mmm...now I"m totally craving sweet potatoes. But I have a strawberry-rhubarb pie that's calling my name after it marries some ice cream.

yahoo! We were initially talking about trying to get to black friday walmart @ 5am to try for a tv. But its already available online for the same price! and get this...I went thru ebates, got 2% back, free shipping to home, and AmEx has this promotion if you spend over $100 at walmart.com, you got $15 back! Essentially, I got my tv, BF price, no tax or shipping cost AND I get to save my back from straining itself lugging it to my car.

And I spare myself the fight with my father on how to load the tv into the car. Win-win!

MK, I saw that certain stores were going to offer their black Friday deals early online. I'm still undecided about if I want to get anything from those sales. They are great deals but not one thing is something that my kids have asked for.

I'm trying to decide if I should make anything else tonight. I just made the bacon wrapped shrimp so they just have to be thrown on the grill tomorrow. Next up would be getting the mac & cheese ready so it just has to be put in the oven tomorrow too.

Oh, and I forgot one more thing that I'm really thankful for......my SIL is making the turkey at her house and bringing it here for dinner.

Can't stay long, gotta be up early tomorrow morning.

Got my arrival date for the WDW CP: 2/21 til 8/21 2011. Terribly excited and cannot wait to get there and start!!!!

Ooooh, those sweet potatoes sound yummy! And, DH would love the bacon wrapped shrimp. However, due to my advanced pregnancy, I'm keeping things simple. We're not even having turkey (at the kids request), we're having brisket. My pumpkin pie is made, and DH told me to buy a pecan pie to save a little trouble. Everything tomorrow should be pretty simple, too. My oldest DD made jello for the kids, her first Thanksgiving dish.

I hope you all have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!

hmmm...I have bacon in the fridge. I want to wrap something in bacon. Kerrie, you just take it easy and enjoy the holiday!

So now that the old school tube tv is on the outs, I'm confused about all this other stuff. Blu-ray players. HD from DirecTv. HDMI cables. Ugh. I guess I'll wait until the tv actually arrives before I bother the DirecT guy. I hope I get the cute one!

The tv was the big one we were worried about getting on BF. Everything else is kinda, if I get it, I get it. Planning to hit the mall after 8am, so most things will be picked over by then anyway.

Kerrie, you should be having a nice easy Thanksgiving. I don't like turkey but everyone else does so we have turkey. I'll have a little tiny piece and eat all the sides instead.

Big :thumbsup2 to your oldest DD. I love it when the kids make something to help with dinner.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful, safe and happy holiday. And you tell that little one that you are carrying to hurry up. I can't wait to see her.

Happy Thanksgiving tkers!!!!!!

Love you all, both near and far, old and new.

Michele

Gobble gobble gobble! That's turkey speak for Happy Thanksgiving to all my wonderful friends. Much blessings and happiness on this special day and every day.

I'm doing laudry and drawing up an elaborate shopping plan for tomorrow. It involved post-it notes and highlighters. I feel like I"m writing a lab report and doing a powerpoint presentations! The ads are just sick! My head is spinning with all the good stuff out there. Firing up the Kitty-coupon machine!

Since I'm not having my big dinner today, I need everyone to have an extra spoonful of their favorite dish for me. Yummy!

Afternoon ladies!!!!!

It's been snowing here all morning. Boy, were the kids excited. Me, I'd rather have a sunny, 80* day.

I've got a good jump on cooking this morning. Curt is busy straightening up the house. We're suppose to go pick up my brother's wife later and the last I knew, my brother is coming over too. He hasn't decided between here and my dad's. SIL told my brother last night that she plans on coming over too and he didn't freak out or anything so I'm hoping that's a good sign. We've been doing T-day together for a few years and SIL just wants to give her son a little bit of normalcy this holiday since the breakup is so recent. I understand her point. But the final decision is up to my brother. I'd just hate for either one of them be alone today.

MK, have fun shopping tomorrow. I think I'll be sleeping off a night of drinking :rolleyes1

Jo...that is so heartwarming about your SIL and brother calling a truce. I hope it works out. I was thinking of you. I'm watching a show on cooking channel and they're making thanksgiving cocktails! Yum!

wait...did you say snow? Its cold as all heck here, but no snow in our forecast yet. I may have to tweak my battle gear tomorrow.

Mmmmm, cocktails.

I'm trying to decide what I should do next. Mac & cheese is ready for oven as are the potatoes. I need to make some pepperoni bread and Curt has to do the shrimp when he gets back from picking up the turkey.

Yep, snow here. And lighttech said she was getting freezing rain. It seem strange to see the ground covered with snow for T-day.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Lilmiss We'll be at Disney in May maybe we'll see you. :)

No snow here but some in Albuquerque. Had to close both interstates because of accidents. The first storm is always the worst for drivers. They seem to forget how to drive in bad weather. :confused3

I wanted to pop on and with my TK'r family a very Happy Thanksgiving! My Mom and Brother just left. I am trying to get that meal settled because I still gotta eat another one. SO FULL ha ha

You are all in my thoughts today. :grouphug:

Bake uncovered for another 25-30 min until sweet potatoes are tender and toppping is lightly browned. Makes 8 servings.

If you are bringing the dish to the host house, you can prepare the first half up to the point of the pecan topping. Finish baking at the host house

You have made DH very happy

Ooooh, those sweet potatoes sound yummy! And, DH would love the bacon wrapped shrimp. However, due to my advanced pregnancy, I'm keeping things simple. We're not even having turkey (at the kids request), we're having brisket. My pumpkin pie is made, and DH told me to buy a pecan pie to save a little trouble. Everything tomorrow should be pretty simple, too. My oldest DD made jello for the kids, her first Thanksgiving dish.

I hope you all have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!

I thought about you last night. Did you see there was a show on the Travel Channel called Best places to eat Bacon? :woohoo:

ah, ladies. I hope everyone is enjoying their meals and family!

I am about to endeavour on my own little T-day meal of little tidbits. I'm making pigs in a blanket, spinach dip with crudite, brie with crackers. Just a bunch of noshing with no nutritional values whatsover. Breaking out the petit fours later. Yum!

So battle plans are drawn. Nothing that I really want except to get a blu-ray player. Now I wish I had gotten Harry Potter on blu-ray. I'm wondering if I can still get it on Amazon. If not, there are lots of blu-ray discs on special tomorrow that I"m hoping to score. Borders just sent coupons for 40% off and free drinks. yahoo!
