TKers...8 is NOT enough!

What series is that? I've only read the Green Mile (which I loved) and the Talisman (which I hated).

I want to re-read the Harry Potter books too. But I have to find them first.

I'm presently reading a trilogy on Josephine Bonaparte. Its written in the first person, as diary entries. I thought I wouldn't like it, but I find myself compelled to find out what happens next. Its really fascinating.

I also just picked up the Red Tent in a used bookstore. Everyone says its a great book. So now I"m torn between the two books to read before going to bed....

It's the Dark Tower/Gunslinger series. It's kind of a western/science fiction type of story. Not his typical horror stuff. Now that they are turning them into a movie, I need to get them out and reread them.

I also like Anne Perry. She has a good series about a family during WWI.

What's the Red Tent about?

And D&D, our next Tker meet is going to be Grease themed. Get out your poodles skirt. :rotfl:
Night D&D.

I'm not very far into it, but from what I can tell, the Red Tent is about Ruth, the daughter of Jacob from the old Testament.

oh, I know some places show Grease in the theaters and everyone sings along. We should find one of those!

I've heard of the Dark Tower series, but I never would have guessed they were about cowboys!

That sounds like something I would like. I read a lot of fiction and non-fiction biblical books. I'm also fascinated by the Templar Knights.

The Stephen King series is strange. But in a good way. It's just nothing I never would have expected from him. I hope they don't mess up the movies.

Stephen King writes a highly entertaining column each week in Entertainment Weekly. Its endeared him to me.

I like to read about history and the Templar especially. I get sucked into those documentaries on the History channel all the time.

Did you read the Poisonwood Bible? Its loosely religious in nature, but really it was one of those books that rocked my world. It would be one of my 5 choices to take with me on a desert island.

And years ago, they use to play The Rocky Horror Picture Show at one of the local theaters. They would set a stage up in front of the screen for local actors to act out the movie while it played. Nothing like dancing the Time Warp with a hundred other people in a theater at midnight. Good times.

I just realized my first sentence in the last post was redundantly redundant. I apologize.

I've been to one of those showings also! It was in college and I was terrified that someone would pull me on stage to you-know-what!

I've never read the Poisonwood Bible. Sounds right up my alley.

I've read Tim LaHaye. He writes a good series on a guy who searches for Biblical artifacts. The guy is pretty much out to prove the Bible true. It just all fascinates me.

They never pulled anyone on stage here. They were very serious about what they did and they did it very well. But the audience did have their newspapers and other props to act along.

I'll have to write that one down! I would love to read something like that. Thanks for the tip!

Well, I'm actually off to join Josephine in my book. Only she's not named Josephine, she's named Rose and she married to someone not Napoleon. I guess that's why there's three books in the series!

Night and sweeetest of dreams to you and yours....

Let me know how the book series turns out. Always looking for something new to read.

Sweet dreams to you too.

Night!

Sorry I missed the book discussion...I read all the Left Behind books this year. It was so nice to read them and not have to wait for the next one to come out.

Did you watch AMG? I kind of felt sorry for Jackie but she sure showed a lot of poise not winning. Michael seemed in shock...think he expected her to win too!

What???:confused3 :rolleyes1

If we're doing a Grease themed TKer meet then forget the poodle skirt. I'm looking for some leather. None of that sweet, innocent stuff for me.

MOrning ladies! It is crazy-a** cold out there!

I'll pull off the Sandy look...who's dong Rizzo? And Frenchy? This could be fun!

I'm busy uploading pics so I can get them developed. Its too darn cold to do much else.

I don't know if you guys are checking in during the day, but SyFy has the V series on right now!

Hey all... weeding through the plethora of stroller threads... My, my don't we get snarky on THAT subject... :rotfl:

Back to lunch... Must remember to eat, and not just research Disney.
