Good morning ladies! Wow, quite the convo last night! Chocolate covered men, bed bugs, DC, racing....how'd y'all sleep?

So, windshield man called this morning. He's in the area. That's nice, but the car isn't! The appointment was between 12 and 4, and while I appreciate his enthusiasm, he's going to have to come back later.

Trying to get some courage and brave the grocery store today. Have to get some food for the may-be-visiting-at-some-point family. Grr....Nothing's settled yet. Of course.

M&N, the released the names of the drivers supposedly fined and I was completely wrong. The reports say it was Denny Hamlin and Ryan Newman. I find that shocking about Hamlin since he is usually so calm about everything. Or maybe that is why he is so calm about everything now.

I would camp in Hawaii if I could bring my trailer. We are renting condos although all we need is a fridge. Don't really want to cook.
DH does play golf at WDW, the original ones are a bit cheaper. Plus he plays in the afternoon when rates are the cheapest. This works out as then I can go wander around the world showcase without any moaning.
We are going to Sam's Club. Will we be able to keep the bill under $200? We are going to the Olive Garden first. It has only been open a few months. We hope by going at 4pm we won't have to wait too long. DH drove by around 1pm (after his golf tournament) and the parking lot was full.

I am surprised JO...I was sure it was Kyle...I heard him knock Toyota after a race but I guess they aren't NASCAR. Let me know if you find out what they actually said. Newman doesn't strike me as a complainer though. Wouldn't you love to have Dale Sr around now? He would prpbably be poor with his outspoken opinions! But then NASCAR would probably not be in the mess they are in.

Hope Kitty made it from the grocery store ok! Mom is trying another watermelon---I said 3 strikes and she's over them! We had 2 bad ones so far!

Howdy,

No dreams to report here but I still have a taste for chocolate - any type.

Had the insurance adjustor here again. This one seems be a lot better than the first one. He was much more understanding and was giving us bigger allowances. I think its because he understands the meaning of catastrophy. He told me his house was damaged by Katrina and he knows first hand what we have to go through to make things better.
So hopefully we will now get enough to start making the repairs. I dont' think it will be perfect, but it will be better than the last offer. I'll keep ya posted.

DL55 - Olive Garden here is ALWAYS crowded. Even on the off hours. Good luck getting seated. After the long wait the food always tastes soooo good.

I'm back! The grocery store wasn't too bad today. I'm guessing all the camps aren't out for some reason...the pharmacy was much worse, but I had to get my makeup that's one sale BOGO. Especially since I've gotten quite tan this summer and my usual foundation doesn't match me anymore!

I used my free play at the racino. I am $156.80 richer! I hated to leave my machine, it kept hitting the bonus, but I had to head home--I had groceries in the car!

Mmm....Olive Garden. I usually get some really bad cream based entree there. And dessert.

Ok, so I have some more info on the stupid family. Cousin-in-law says they'll be here in the afternoon Saturday. Whoops. I'll be barbecuing elsewhere by then. I'll catch up with them later that evening at my brother's house (second feeding).

D...that's awesome about the insurance guy. I hope he's far more generous and easy to deal with than the other guy.

DL...I like renting a condo. Yes, its mostly for the fridge and my leftovers, but there's nothing like having a nice cold bev in the middle of the night if you need one. And I like to have my coffee in the morning without having to venture out of my pajamas.

Gotta go make dinner. Think we're just doing something easy - grilled cheese and Spaghettios. Its too hot to get that stove going and I ran out of stuff to grill. Guess I'll have to head out to the grocery store soon.

I didn't do as well at the casinos in Kansas. It was also weird that they were smoking in there! You can't smoke anywhere in NY. I did ok though, enough to miff BF--although he hit a good jackpot too. We spent most of our winning though, which was fun!

I have to start building up my vacation fund again. I get $35 in free play every week, so I just save them up and just play one day and hopefully I hit and run! I'd really like to hit a big, big jackpot, but you have to play big for that, and i"m just a penny girl.
