Hello there Faithful Tink! TKer is shorthand for "thread killer". Not that any of us willfully went out and killed thread out on the Dis, but it just seemed that we did and we sought comfort in each other. I guess we should call ourselves "former TKers" since this thread is going strong!

Sukie and lighttech found us too! Check, check off the list!

Why are you surprised how quickly we went through thread #7? You are on page 6 and only started it last night. BTW I'm still killing threads.

Still having computer problems. Yesterday we "lost' the CD/DVD drive. Device manager said it was there but My Computer said we didn't have one. I ended up restoring the system which took forever.

Still in the 100s here, past few days we've had some loud thunder but no rain.

I got my digital box hooked up and have all the channels. I cannot use the dvd or Wii but at least I have my channels back plus a few others. I never had Lifetime Movies or TMC. But I need a tv guide to see what's on. The tv guide channel doesn't tell you ahead for me to plan.

Congrats on the new channels M! I do watch both TCM and Lifetime movies far more than I should. How did Patrick do? Is he fixed yet?

Traditionally before I attend a concert I like to listen to the CDs just so I"m caught up on music. Frankly, I'm overwhelmed. I have Celtic Woman on Saturday and although they sing classic standards, I'm not sure what to expect. Dad's watched every show on PBS and I think he'll know more than me! I have to get earplugs too....we have great seats, but I'm not going to lose my hearing. The gals wear gorgeous costumes, I'm considering dressing up myself! Think a tiara is uncalled for?

Next Friday is Sting, and I just got his newest CD which is mostly the music from the concert. Its gonna be cool. Still pouting a little that I can't see the Boston Pops with John Williams the next night. Too much for my budget and darn if some family isn't visiting from Japan. Ruin my concert series! Just kidding....I like them well enough. And I need to find a way to visit so I can go to the Hello Kitty amusement park there....

This evening for me and BF, its grumble grumble grumble! MTV is having its Teen Mom marathon and at 10p its the new season. I sound like an old bitter lady yelling at the tv and the silliness of these girls sometimes. And I yell at the teen dads too. Its a great de-stressor.

Paint if you feel like it. Otherwise, it'll still be there tomorrow.

Free panties! Free panties! Mailman brought two coupons for free panties from Victoria's Secret. I swear I haven't paid for a panty in years...

I also got my juror questionnaire again. Looks like I'll be serving very soon. I just hope its not on one of my concert days!

go to the Victoria's secret website and sign up for emails. They don't send that many, but they will send you various coupons via both email and snail mail. You're supposed to create a separate email for all the spam stuff, but I'm too lazy. Bath and Body works is also good about sending out coupons and stuff. And if you're shopping and they ask for your phone number, give it to them. They won't call your phone, but they will use it for an address to send promos too.

If you know you'll be shopping somewhere, always check retailmenot.com first. They have both online and printable coupons for various stores.

Always look at your receipts. A lot of stores now have coupons or surveys. Cheesecake Factory had on their receipt a survey online and if you filled it out, they send you a $10 gift card.

Slickdeals.net has a freebies section. People always post their coupons and freebies on there. You don't have to join; I never have. I just read what they have and click and I get my stuff. Under Hot Deals is where I get the best bargains---its like the Dis Budget Board on steroids! Its where I got my $10 air tickets and concert tickets.

Do you do Target? Sign up for their text coupons. They'll text you when they have new coupons on their website (you have to be signed up with them), you go to the website and print them up. They've had some really good coupons lately too. Its target.com/coupons
