Lisa, sorry for all the tough times with DD and the "lunch bunch"! I hope all is getting resolved peacefully with no resentments.

Am I too late to say congratulations on the new clippie??

:Pinkbounc YAY!! :Pinkbounc

With the warmer temps and sunny days to lift our spirits, I'm betting this healthy living journey will get easier!

Good morning all. I weighed in this morning (a day earlier than my schedule) since I'm going out of town on business tonight. I'm at 143, down a pound since last week, total loss 11 pounds. Given how bloated I've felt this week, I'll take any loss!

We had an interesting article in our local paper (local really means local here, it only comes out twice a week) about violence in middle school. Apparently there have been at least 3 arrests (I think it was 5 people) in the last month at our local middle schools for violence. I really don't know what this world is coming to. In the case of one of the arrests, the mother assaulted the police officer so they both got to visit the county lock up! Just more ramblings from my world, feel free to ignore.

Journal for 3/2:
am: 2 eggs, 1 slice toast (1C)
snack: yogurt (1C)
lunch: cottage cheese w/ pears (1C)
cheese, yellow pepper
animal crackers (1C)
pm: BBQ Ribs, really sweet sauce, so I'm counting it (1C)
broccoli/cauliflower mix

2 mile WATP w/ weights

Total carbs, 5

Hey, Lisa! Congrats on the pound! You're doing so well! Don't worry, I'm sure DD will be just fine. I never thought of my job as a risk, but in today's world it really is. It truly is a scary and sad world we live in. Just make sure you're there for her and she'll be fine. Have a wonderful day and good luck while you're out of town! :sunny:

hey lisa, hope you have a good trip! i'm sure you'll stay right on plan, you're so good at that! see you when you get back :wave2:

Lisa, a pound gone!! Bye-bye :wave2: pound!! :Pinkbounc

Best of luck staying on plan while you're away. That can be tough! Hope you snuck some legal snacks into your purse, just in case.

We have the same sorts of problems in our schools. Your story about the mom assaulting the police officer is amazing, though! I wonder where the kid learned to be violent??!! My kids keep reassuring me that these types of kids are a small minority and most of the kids are pretty well-behaved. For my own sanity, I choose to believe them. My dad taught middle school for 28+ years and had the same sorts of problems so maybe it isn't getting any worse, just more publicized.

Have a great trip! Hope you find some time to kick back and relax while you're out of town! :sunny:

Lisa,

Congrats on losing that one pound....those one pound losses add up quickly;)

Hape a great weekend

:wave2: Holly

 Hi Lisa,
Hope your business trip goes well. 11 pounds gone is amazing ::yes:: ! Keep up the good work.

Thanks all for the encouragement. The trip went fine. It's a long drive too and from Philadelphia (3 1/2 hours with no traffic each way). I left here at 6:00 pm Wed, so didn't have any traffic, but it was awfully dark! This is the first time I've driven it by myself at night. I made it back today in time for DD's girl scout cookie booth at 4 pm. Good news is I stayed on plan. The hotel I stayed at was a Sheraton Suites, and they included breakfast buffet and an entree off the bar menu (plus a drink) with the room. I was tempted to have a glass of wine, but had NO idea how many carbs would be there, so I just skipped it. Diet coke was just fine by me.

Journal for 3/3 (at home, then driving up)
am: 2 eggs, 1 slice toast (1C)
lunch: chicken
wheat nuts (1C) I ate a lot of them through the afternoon
cheese
pm: hamburger patty (dinner with the family before I left)
1 small slice cheese pizza (1C)
snack while driving: 1 cheese stick

Total carbs, 3. Scheduled rest day for DD's scouts.

Journal for 3/4:
walked 1 1/2 mile on hotel treadmill. Started getting a blister, and was out of time, so I stopped before 2 miles.
am: scrambled eggs, bacon
snack: yogurt (1C)
lunch: turkey
broccoli
2 mile walk over to the manufacturing plant and around the aircraft line. My airplane is looking great!
snack: 1 cookie (1C)
pm: cheese steak filling (skipped the bun and fries)
cashews (1C)
Total carbs - 3

Journal for 3/5
4 mile bike ride (man did those miles add up fast! Not used to doing a bike, but the treadmill was taken, and with my bliter, I thought that was a better idea.) Took about 25 minutes. When I looked at what I ate Thursday, I thought I should add some more carbs because I hadn't gotten hardly any (except the cookie, which really wasn't a good use of carbs!)

am: scrambled eggs
toast (1C)
potatos (1C)
2 mile walk back over to the plant

lunch: 1/4 dark chicken
green beans
broccoli, squash
cornbread (1C)
snack: cashews (1C)
cheese stick
Sold cookies for 2 hours

pm: taco salad w/ beans (1C)
a few bites of DD's fried ice cream (1C)

Total carbs - 6

Have a great weekend everyone!

Sounds like you had a very productive week. Congrats for staying on track. Which airplane are you with? I used to work on F-111's in the USAF along time ago. Glad you made it home in time for family events. Have a great weekend.

hey lisa, you did a really great job staying op even while you were away! i'm so impressed, i use time away from home as an excuse, but you just stuck with it! :bounce:

hope you have a great weekend :sunny:

Lisa,

You're at 60 cheat free days, that's great! You did a really good job sticking to plan & exercise even with being away from home, I always have a rough time doing that (& actually never have:rolleyes:) Keep up that great work & have a good week!

:wave2: Holly

RJudy, I work on the V-22. Thanks for the support guys. Glad the weekend's over. Long one, since DD spiked a fever Friday night for no apparent reason. It finally broke Sunday morning, and she was fine. Good thing because she was scheduled for baptism Sunday night. That went very well. We had 12 baptisms, including 5 adults. Very uplifting evening! Two of DD's teachers came, which was really nice.

Anyway, on to my journal for 3/6
am: 2 eggs, bacon, 1 slice toast (1C)
lunch: tuna, cheese, crackers (1C)
cashews (1/2 C)
3 mile walk with DS selling Joe Corbi's pizzas (he rode his bike)
pm: Fried cod, broccoli, cottage cheese
little bit of strawberry shortcake (1 1/2 C)

Total for the day, 4 C, w exercise

Journal for 3/7

am: omlette w/ broccoli and peppers
snack: small strawberry shortcake (1C no whipped cream left!)
pm: salad, steak, broccoli
slice of bread (1C)

No exercise today, but I had done 4 days straight, so it was time for a break, Total carbs - 2

Off to update my profile. 67 days cheat free now.

67 cheat free days - WOW!! Lisa, you did a great job staying on plan during your business trip! Glad to hear all went well.

I'm also glad to hear DD's fever broke and she was able to be baptized - what a special day!! :sunny:
