Very frustrating for me to post this, but I have a question about my park tickets if I have to cancel my currently-planned-for-spring trip...... :headache:

Earlier this fall I booked a resort (room only), and shortly thereafter purchased park tickets through UnderCover Tourist and had them linked to our MagicBands. Everything's there nice and neat on My Disney Experience. But, I have already had to cancel the room ressie due to having to replace the entire engine in my car. Thank you, Life.

I will spare you the rest of the nitty gritty details, but my feeling right now is that we should put the trip on hold. I know that tickets are traditionally good forever until you first use them (w/o non-expiring option, of course), but with all this new "attach them to a MB" bit, does that change anything?? I guess I really just don't know what happens to them if I don't end up rebooking for quite some time (at least 2016).

:confused3

As long as you never used them (and since you didn't go, I assume you didn't) they are good forever. They aren't linked to your magic band, they are linked to your MDE. As long as you use that same MDE when you go in 2016, the tickets will be there waiting.

Agree with PP. But I would do something extra... UCT sent you tickets on plastic media stock, right? Take pics or photocopy the backs so that you have the serial numbers. Keep these records handy when arranging your new trip and also, with you when you finally get to go. (Just in case something happens to Disney's computers or your records in the 2 years to come.)

Ok that makes sense! Thank you. :goodvibes

Yes, and I actually have both the actual tickets and photocopies of the key info all tucked away in my planning binder. Great tip, thank you!
