Tiw

Match the name of the resident? How do they check. What if cash is paid for meals

Although they don't often, they can ask you to show your AP or Florida ID. I have heard sporadic reports of people being asked to show both. I have not been asked.

A manager must approve every TS transaction with TiW at least in our experience. I'm sure the managers are careful that the card matches the credit card or room key being used to pay for the meal.

If paying cash, I imagine they will ask for photo id. Many people have reported needing id when using TiW at the value resorts. I gather they don't need a manager to approve there but have never used it at values myself so not certain.

The few times that we paid cash, while using our TiW card, we were asked for ID. If I was charging to my room key, then that was all the ID I needed. But, if it was cash, they wanted to see either a license or my AP.

Yes, so we always mention that we have the TIW as we order, it takes longer to "Check out" because the server does have to clear it with the manager..that's been our experience as well.

We always use cash, and we DO need photo ID as well to prove we are who we say we are. I would not want to embarrass my guests that way by giving them something they couldn't use legally.

This is our experience as well. When using a credit card or KTTW card that is all we need. When paying cash we need to show another form of ID.

The bottom line is that TIW cards are only available to FL residents and AP holders. If your friend is neither then he/she is not eligible for the card.

TiW cards are only available to FL Residents and Annual Passholders. DVC membership alone does not allow one to purchase a TiW card.
