TIW questions

I have the TIW card, and tomorrow I am able to book my ADRs for our August trip.

I plan to book Hoop Dee Doo, and was wondering if you get the TIW discount upon booking or if you get a refund when you pick up your tickets or get to the show?

The other thing is that my TIW card expires at the end of June, so I'm not sure how this works. I will be renewing it when we arrive in August.

Sorry I'm not sure about how Hoop De Doo works. I hope someone responds because I was wondering the same thing about booking at CRT.

I do know you have to have a valid AP to buy a TIW card. So you would have to be an AP holder for you to buy another TIW card in August.

Thanks, yes I should have mentioned that we are also renewing our APs!

Renewal of TiW is not the same as renewal of an AP. So if you buy a new TiW card in August 2011 it should be valid through September 30, 2012.

When you reserve the HDDR tell them you have the TIW card. They will charge you the TIW price and you'll have to show the card at the window when you get there.

I believe it is only for the 9:30 show.

For CRT the TIW discount was given at the restaurant because you have to present the card. Also, it was only for the food; the photo portion was not discounted.

Sorry, I don't know how Hoop de Doo does it.

I agree with those who said the discount comes @ the restaurant because you have to show the card. We pre-paid in full for CRT, then showed our card @ the restaurant and they re-ran our receipt with the discount amount credited back to the original credit card used.

I would guess it will work the same at any pre-paid reservation.

(I guess Ilovefh had a different experience booking on the phone, but online you definitely pay the full price in advance. And yes, it's good to note that you can't use the TiW discount for all times/seatings - we didn't use TiW at Hoop for that reason, or at the Luau.)

Yes, when I am using the TIW for something I have to pay in advance for I call. I haven't found a way to do it online without the refund. We did this once and the CM at the window was upset about having to do the refund, so now we call every time.

Last July I used my TIW card to book cat 2 or 3 for the 9:30 show. I did prepay and got the discount. The 9:30 show is the one with the 20% off...well worth it (unless you have small children). Book a cat 2 or 3 because, usually, you will be moved up a cat for the last show. The night we went in July the place was almost empty. We were seated right by the piano, great seats (for a cat 2 or 3..sorry I can't remember if it was a 2 or a 3) and a lot of fun!!
