TIW question

I did not renew mine last month ... for now. I figure between now and September I can just work with the restaurants that do give good AP Discounts but I anticipate renewing it in the fall if the discounts end as they say.

While I think the TiW is a much better option ... for a few trips I can work around it to save the money.

Read the fine print of each offer. The AP discount is on a more limited number of restaurants and does not include alcohol. Compare the list of restaurants to those that you might actually dine at.

We bought the TiW just before we found out about the 20% discount. As it turned out, almost all of the places we ate took the AP discount, so we only needed TiW a few times. With the TiW card now costing $150, it will be hard for us to break even with it this year.

I think the first couple questions to answer are: Does your dining party enjoy adult beverages with meals? Do you drive to resorts for you meals? If the answer is yes then TIW is probably a better bet with the discount on alcohol and free valet parking. If the answer is no then you have a lot of math to do to figure it out.

We gave up on the TIW years ago. Seemed it just wasn't worth it.

Thanks all; seems all but one of my reservations are offering the 20% discount for our trip in May. AP covers a group of 4 and TIW a group of 10.
