TIW question

Hi!! I am hoping someone can answer this question...

Background: I am buying an AP, and will have the voucher for it when we get to our resort. I also want to get the TIW card. We don't arrive until 8:00 at night at the airport. So, we will not be going to any parks that night and I will not be trading in my voucher until the next morning. My question is this: can I order the TIW using my voucher number so that I have that to use on our arrival night in the Tambu lounge? It isn't a huge big deal if we can't, but figured I'd ask to get the most savings I can!! Thanks for any and all help!

From what I've heard, you can only buy TiW cards at Guest Relations either at a park or at DTD. Someone else will likely be along to confirm soon

You can't pre-order the TIW card.

You can pick up your AP at the Guest Services window outside of any park, at DTD or at the resort. I know at the parks and DTD you can purchase the TIW at the same time, but I'm not sure about resort GS.

Oh...hmmm...I had read on allears that you could pre-order the TIW card but needed to do so at least 1 month before you were going because of the turn around time. Well, if I can't do that, I guess that answers my question though!! Thanks a bunch!

You can pre-order it but...
1) you must have an active ap and not a voucher
2) it starts on the day you order it... not the day you use it first

So in your situation you can't pre order it.

If the MK is open late for the Halloween Party or EMH, you can take the monorail to the MK, go thru bag check, head to the right and go to the guest services window outside the park to exchange your AP voucher, and purchase you TIW card then go back to the Poly..

Oh....true...didn't think about that...and there does happen to be a Halloween party that night. Maybe that is what I will do?? Does Guest Relations stay open that late? I am guessing it would be near 10:30 or so until I get there after checking in and getting in our room then back over to MK.

I'm not sure if it will be open or not... but the amount of time/effort you will spend verses the savings of like $4 on drinks... might not be the best bang for your buck! (Plus the bar might not even be open by the time you got back!) If you are doing a meal the next morning too I might be more willing... otherwise I'd enjoy my drink and relax and get it in the morning...

Yeah...after thinking more about it, I think I will just wait and grab it in the morning. It would only save a couple of dollars...not really worth all the time! And, we are doing breakfast at Capt. Cook's in the am and they don't take the TIW card. So, I will just get it at Epcot!! Does anyone know if I can get these things taken care of at Guest Services prior to Rope Drop? I'd like to try avoiding park time doing ticket business!!
