Either that or it's a new policy for 2013. So far this is the only report I've seen of someone getting an expiration date exactly 12 months out. I'll be disappointed if it's a new policy. For us the TIW at $75 (for AP holders) with the longer expiration date worked out because we used it for 3 trips. Now that it's $100 and possibly good for exactly 12 months, it probably won't work for us anymore.
Originally, the card was the Disney Dining Experience (DDE) and was typically ordered by phone and mailed to the guest. With the lag time between ordering, mailing and receiving Disney generously made the expiration one year plus the end of the following month. That policy stayed the same when the name was changed to Table in Wonderland (TIW) and was available at all guest service locations.
It appears that they may now be changing that to a 365 day limitation just like APs. Sorry to see that float month go away! Our current TIW was purchased 12/3/11 and expires 1/31/13.
