Tiw/dvc ap question

I just realized that my TIW card expired on 1/31/10, but my annual pass expires on July 23rd 2010. I'm wondering how buying a new TIW card works? I will need it for this coming June and Sept trips.

I do plan to renew my AP in July before the 23rd, with the DVC member discount.

Does one have anything to do with the other? Is there anything I'm missing or need to know?

They are not tied together in any way. You just need to have an un-expired AP (or be a FL Resident) to purchase the TiW card.

..and if you really wanted, you could use your new TIW in Sept without renewing your AP...
