TIW Card Question

Hi! Just purchased the Tables in Wonderland card and saw in the rules it says something like the TIW card holder has to pay. Will the Disney restaurants let someone else in the party pay as long as the card holder is present or does the card holder actually have to use their card (or cash obviously!)?

We have split a bill with another couple and still got the discount. But it really depends on the server. We always get the card in my name and we have had servers question my husband paying with his credit card. On the other hand when I was sick one time my husband took the kids to dinner two nights in a row and used it and it wasn’t questioned.

It depends on the server. One way for the non-card holder to pay is with a gift card or cash, but you will need to present the payment along with your TIW card and an ID. The other option is to pay for everyone and settle up later. I have done both.

Most places follow the rules. You should plan on that happening.

I would approach each restaurant as adhering to the clearly written rule...the card holder must be the one to pay for the meal.

The rules state that the card holder must pay. In years of having a TIW that has been my experience. I have even had a server ask for an ID.
