We have a trip planned for this June for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids, ages 3 and 5). Without going into too much detail, we will only be eating 2 TS meals that would be eligible for the TIW card (Boma for breakfast and Sci-Fi for lunch) and maybe a CS at the AK. Obviously, this alone will not justify the purchase of the card, however, we are also going next April and taking my parents.

After talking to my dad, he told me that they are not really into the "sit down dining" mainly because they do not like the amount of time that it consumes. Therefore, he has requested that I limit our dining to no more than 3 TS meals next year. We are arriving on Easter Sunday. I know that we will eat at LeCellier for dinner and a meal at Boma (not sure which meal though) and one other restaurant, possibly Chef Mickey's. Nobody drinks alcohol with their meals so that is not an expense that we must worry about.

I know that Easter Sunday itself is a blackout date for the TIW card usage. What about the rest of the week? I know that we will come close to getting our money back with the meals involved, but not if they are blacked out. If we will not be able to use the card for the entire trip next year, then there is no point in buying it for this year. I know that my dad will have some form of "sticker shock" when he sees some of the restaurant prices, particularly LeCellier which is why I really want to dangle that 20% discount at him.

Does anyone know the specific dates that I cannot use the TIW card?:confused3

Only the actual holidays are blacked out. They are: Mother's Day, Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.

Thanks! That makes my plans much easier.

I figure that we will at least break even with 2 meals at Boma, dinner at LeCellier and another (probably dinner) at Chef Mickey's. I am also thinking of suprising them with a dinner at CRT since I know that my dad has secretly dreamed of dining in the castle:lovestruc .
