Title of Book?

I am looking for the title of a book. It is something like the name of someones letters to someone. I hope that makes sense. I thought the author was Nicholas Sparks but its not. Am I going crazy or does someone know what I am talking about?

There is also Sam's Letters to Jennifer by James Patterson too.

Both are really good books that I read a few years ago when I had time to read book not for school. =)
