OMG...I"m soo frustrated.... I've been watching Titanic on TNT since 4pm.... at 7:20 they interupt for baseball!! Jack and Rose were just climbing onto the bow of the ship where they met, walking past the guy who was slowly 'walking through the valley of the shadow of death'...
Yeah..I've seen the movie tons of times... but I just spent over 3 hrs waiting for THIS part and they interupted it for baseball...

I know, I was watching the same thing and did a WTH!

And it wasn't that the game had even started, it was just stupid chit chat! I've seen it many times, but that is not the point.

If you want, I will tell you how it ended. ;)

LMAO...its not the same!!! I have to SEE that part....it's what the 3 hr wait is for...that last 30+ minutes!!!

Bad part...its not even Braves playing :(

Exactly. I sat through all the rest of the nonsense and now that the end was in site I want to see it...just to see the corny "I'll never let go" line

That's why I own it. I will never have to worry about needing to watch it on TV and have it cut down, altered or interupted. ;)

I wish the movie had been interrupted by baseball when I shelled out actual money to see it in the theatre.

Yes it is the RED SOX game that just came on and yet I am excited for the game...my tv description says TITANIC...so I thought how odd....now I know WHY....:lmao:

But seriously why didn't TNT show a movie that would be over by the time the game started?? :confused3

OMG....now TNT is showing Titanic AGAIN, the ending, as they sent RED SOX over to TBS????????? :confused3

They did the same thing last night. I don't even like Titanic that much, but I had already devoted 3 hours of my life to it, and by golly I wanted to see the ending.

I just couldn't believe that they interrupted a chick flick to show baseball:confused:

BTW, they turned it back on after about 20 minutes last night.

The same thing happened when I was watching it last night. Around 10 p.m. (Eastern) they went to a commercial break, so I flipped over to Project Runway. When I flipped back a ballgame was on! I thought maybe I had the wrong channel -- I was going crazy looking for the movie! After about 20 minutes the movie came back on. :confused3 :confused3

Ugh, that sucks!! Baseball vs. Titanic? Titanic definitley wins. I hope you get to see the ending soon!

I believe that I'm the only woman left in the free world that hasn't seen the entire movie. I FINALLY make time to watch it and :confused3 !!!!! Well, I guess I can still astound people when I say I haven't seen it all! :headache:

Now I can believe that Jack & Rose lived happily ever after! :lmao:

It happened to me too, last nite. :rotfl: At first I thought maybe I accidentally hit the remote, sitting next to me, and it changed channels.

Then I thought WTH??? Couldn't they have shown a 2 hour movie instead, if they knew they were going to pre-empt for a ballgame? :confused3

I didn't know the movie came back on later. :(

I just caught the tail end tonight, but missed the whole sinking part. It's not quite the same. :badpc:

...and yes, I've watched Titanic several times too. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

For the record, TBS broadcasts several playoff baseball games in a row each day. They are the only network broadcasting every single game of the first round of the baseball playoffs (which involves 8 teams and anywhere from 12-20 games).

They allow three hours and fifteen minutes for each game, which usually is enough. When a game runs late and runs into the next scheduled game, the start of that second game is shown on TBS's sister station TNT, and is only broadcast on TNT until the first games ends, when it immediately switches back to TBS.

There was no baseball game scheduled for TNT at all. With all the money TBS pays for the rights to broadcast the games, it's going to take precedence every single time over a movie that anyone with cable or a DVD can see whenever they want.

Already knew that but still stinks.

Sure wasn't going to sit here and watch stupid baseball just waiting for the end of the game on TBS to see the end of the movie I was watching. Can you tell I don't like baseball at all?

It's true. Heidi comes and rescues them with helicopter.

I haven't seen ANY of it, other than ads. And I've done it on purpose, too. Never had a single bit of interest in it when it came out, and now though I don't care I just don't want to give up the "status" (or the hours).

When I met now-hubby, he had not seen it either, also on purpose. It was one of the many things we shared like that. :goodvibes

OH wait, I watched the Titanic episode of News Radio. That was awesome. :goodvibes
