Titanic Exhibit

We went a couple of years ago to this and we really enjoyed it. My (then) 15 year old daughter and her friend were really moved by the end of it and were in tears so was I!! When you go in you are given a ticket with a name on it and then at the end you can check the list to see if you lived or died. To tell you too much would be to give the best bits away but it is well worth it in my opinion

I've always wanted to go, but never have.
When they had a traveling exhibit of Titanic memorabilia a few years after the film came out, I went to that when it came to St. Paul, MN.
It was really interesting and moving. I would imagine a permanent display would be even better than the one I saw.

I agree with floridahippy!!!!
It is very moving and really neat to see. If you can sqeeze it in on your vacation, its definately worth it!

we went to the traveling exhibit in chicago several years ago, when my son was 2, he is now 7 and has been a titanic fanatic for years. He did not even know we did that.We are leaving in a few days and we are going to the one in orlando on dec 5.He is more excited about spending his hard earned money at titanic than at disney!! The one in chicago was great so i cant wait to see this one.

We went last year (me, DH, DS10, and DD 7 at the time) and found it interesting and moving. DH has always been interested in the Titanic, so he was really looking forward to our visit. He is also planning to take his mom to see it on our next trip.

One comment, it can be sad, maybe difficult for sensitive children (and adults, for that matter) at the end when you check the list against your ticket to see if you were a survivor. I was the only survivor out of our family...interestingly, I felt especially sad as I thought how I might feel had I lost my family members and fellow passengers on the Titanic. You may want to prepare your kids and/or plan to be sensitive to the feelings this exhibit may invoke.
