Someone mentioned White Horses and I have always had a battle with my good lady who used to opt for the booooorrriiiinnngggg Swap Shop on a Saturday rather than the never equalled TISWAS.

So the question before you this Saturday morning, cast you mind back to those bleary eyed days of the mid 70's as you staggered downstairs in your pjs to switch the telly on.

Was it TISWAS or Swap Shop?

"Saturday is TISWAS day"

Steve

TISWAS ~ was the best

I used to love 'Compost Corner', the 'dying fly', Lenny Henry being Trevor McDoughnut, the 'Bucket of Water Song' and the cage

The only programme that has ever come close to this (IMO) is Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway (but without the gunge ~ LOL) :)

Swap Shop for me - not sure if my mother would have approved of the antics on the other side ;)

I'm outnumbered, SWAP SHOP much more intellectual! Never have liked silly humour, wish I could, I think I must have missed a lot during my boring, staid life. I was born like that. :sad2:

Swap Shop for me too. Posh Paws rocked! LOL! :rotfl:

TISWAS was far too chaotic for me that early on a Saturday morning. Fast forward a few years and I did used to stay up late to watch OTT though!!!

Lynn ;)

3 swap shop on the bounce, come on you TISWAS fans.

Swap shop mainly consisted of cheggers stand in field in wigan in the rain trying to get the 30 people excited about swapping crossfire for operation.

Awful telly. TISWAS, cartoons were better prizes were better the whole package was perfection.

And thats before I even get on to Sally James (so to speak!)

Steve

TISWAS - Sally James...slobber! Slurp! The things she could conjure up in a teenage boy's mind - another cold shower methinks! :lmao:

I don't really see a contest here.

Swap Shop was for girlies! :rotfl2:

TISWAS every time.

Richard - you seem to spend an awful lot of your time in that shower. :thumbsup2

Kev

Has to be TISWAS, it had spit the dog, The Phantom and gunge :thumbsup2

I always wanted to be gunged and still do :rotfl:

This Is Saturday Watch And Smile...and I did. :thumbsup2 . Sally James vs Noel Edmonds??!!! Hmmmm.

tiswas fantastic who remembers the spin off adult show o.t.t,swap shop what a load of old platapus poop

Most definately TISWAS.

Who remembers the one Christmas edition. Chris Tarrant, Peter Thomlinson (?) sitting at the table covered in Turkey legs, mince pies etc with all the kids tucking in merrily. Behind them they had a camel....

...and the camel decided to do what camels do - it spat!! Not just a little bit, but shook it's head at the same time. There was camel phlegm everywhere. It was all over the food, all over the kids, dripping down the camera lens and all over Chris Tarrant and the turkey leg he was eating. :rotfl2: . He actually turned very, very pale and I'm sure he was close to being sick! :lmao:

In the meantime, all the kids kept on eating!! :scared:

Absolutely Swap Shop...no contest!
