Ahh, I am so tired of DH being in school. He is getting his masters, as well as working full time. He has also published 2 books in the last three years.

We never see him. It gets kind of lonely around here in the evenings and we are too sick to go out and spread our germs around.

Oh well, it is just 3 more quarters after this.

You and me both.

DH only has 3 more classes left-last one is Dec. 16.

I'm proud of him for being so motivated but I can't wait until it's over.

Hang in there.:D

3 more classes till he gets his degree or three more classes till the quarter is over?

published two books, yikes Im impressed by people who read two books in three years, let alone write them

3 more classes until he gets another degree. He has to do "one on one" thing with one of the faculty in January but then he will be all done.

I admire anyone who goes to school and works. Sometimes it's so frustrating when the kids are asking where he is or he can't play with them because he is studying. Then I realize how lucky I am to have someone like that. :D

Congratulations to DH and yourself!:D

What is he getting his Master in??

Hang in there. It'll be totally worth it when it's done. When I was in Jr. High my mom went back for her masters and her certification. The program was so highly specialized that there were only 8 of them in the entire degree program. Good for her, not so great for us. We hated having her away so much. Dad, little sis, and I got to spend lots of time together though which was nice. Now that she finally has her degree she loves her job more than I have ever seen anyone love work in my life. It was something she needed to do and we hung in there with her. It stinks for a while, but trust me, it's the BEST when you can see the results of all of this time. It'll be over before you know it!! :)

Just computer science.

He is a very motivated guy and always has been. It is one of the things I love about him. I guess it is just like everything else in love, there is always a flip side to every good quality your SO has!

Now he is talking about getting a PhD!?!

My DH just finished his Master's and is also thinking about a PhD. I feel for you. It was tough to wait it out, especially that last class, but we made it. And then we went to Disney. :)

Hang in there! Maybe ask for some time together. I had to schedule "us" time with DH.

I was thinking of going back to school for a second Bachelor's degree to change careers but after reading this thread I am having second thoughts. I am a single parent, working FT. If I was also in school I would never see DD6 :(

I am working on my masters degree in an online program. I absolutely love it! It is very flexible and I can study at 2 AM in my jammies with my cat on my lap.

Legs, check into some of the programs around your area. Even if you only take one class, you are still working towards your degree and that will leave you with some spare time. Plus, you can spend homework time with your daughter where you both can sit down and work on homework.

Education has grown so much that there is sure to be a program out there that will work with your schedule. Good luck!

It's worth it to pursue the degree! My husband will finish his second masters next June. He has never been gone more than two evenings per week - most of the time it was only one evening. When I went for my masters I only took one class at a time. When all is said and done, you'll be happy that you went for it.

I can relate! Dh got his BA at night in just 5 years. :hyper: He took almost a year off, then got is Masters in about 2.5. He now teaches part time at night at the college he gratuated from. Just *loves* school!!

Oh well, it pays for our Disney trips & it's better than some other "hobbies"........ ;)

DH is getting his masters too. He's taking his time though and only takes 1 class per semester with summers off. It's taking him awhile, but luckily it doesn't affect our home life too much. He's getting sick of it, but it will be worth it in the end.

My goodness, I know right where you are coming from! My dh is also in grad school (Public Health). He is taking his last three classes then has to do a huge project/internship/thesis over the next year. Plus, this wonderful man also works full time as a RD!

We have a 3yo hyperactive son and a 5 month old baby boy. My house is never clean and I have forgotten how to talk to people over the age of 3! I am so ready for this to be done. I know he is doing it for us but sometimes I wish he could be the househusband and I would go to work/school.... at least for a couple of days. Even on his days off of school he has to study and write papers. Often I feel like a single parent and I am sure I push him too much. When he finally has a free minute I want him to clean, parent.... and I know he just needs a break. Boy, I wish we didn't live 800 miles from our nearest relative (babysitter)!

Hang in there... but don't forget to vent when you need to.... you can always chew on my ear.

I am impressed with people who can juggle work, marriage and family with school. I wished and wished for 2 years that I had finished my MBA prior to getting married. With the responsibilities of work and my house, I found it much more difficult to do. I was so glad that it was completed and I still feel a sense of accomplishment for having gotten it... it was hard, though.

Kudos to everyone who is getting/has gotten it while being married with kids! I'm sure it wasn't/isn't easy.
