Tips To Beat The Heat At Wdw

The last time we were down in August it was unbelievably hot and humid. I was about to melt into oblivion one day after watching the stunt show at HS, when I got the idea of a good hot cup of java (real coffee - not Nescafe). That little cup of mud hit the spot and made the rest of my day. You know, there really aren't long lines for hot coffee when it's 100 degrees out;)

What I like to do to beat the heat at the MK, is go to the Liberty Square Market and get a ice cold $0.95 pickle ! Best deal at WDW . ..Mr.:goofy:

:teacher: It seems like our long vacation always falls in July. But, we live in South Texas so we're used to the heat. We're spending 10 days at WDW in July, just like last summer. If I have room, I'm going to bring an outdoor misting fan to try to cool off the patio area since we spend alot of time outdoors. The other thing we do is to wear light comfortable clothing. I see everyone with socks on, but I never wear socks. I wear sandals year round---I have some very comfortable ones I wear to the parks. I hate for my feet to get hot! I also keep wet ones or a wet rag in a ziploc in my purse. Other than that, we drink lots of water and try to balance the rides with indoor (ac) activities. For us, the best thing about staying anywhere on the property is that we can go rest or swim in the afternoon and hit the parks again in the evening. I can sympathize with anyone who doesn't want to come south in the summer. I have neighbors who pack up in May and head north for the summer. They don't usually come back until October.
