Tips or useful link regarding changes in DW in the past three years?

Hi,

I used to know the ins and outs of DisneyWorld and I used to read here @ disboards A LOT. Since my last visit to Disney World three years ago, I stopped following the changes and updates and I feel clueless in comparison to all the information I had back then.

We're planning to visit DW next autumn, this time with a three year old girl
We want to spend two weeks in Orlando (it's a long way across the atlantic, so we want to make the most of our trip!). I know I want to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge AND at the Wilderness Lodge.

I know there were some changes with the FastPass system. What are they?
Do you still have to book Le Cellier 6 months in advance?

Any other significant changes I should be aware of? New rides that are good for a three year old?
Anything else changed in the past three years?

The most recent FP+ changes are that you can book them online 60 days in advance (30 if you were not staying on property), you get to choose 3 in advance. Then, once you arrive and use them, you can book more (one at a time) from your the My Disney Experience app on your phone. There are no more paper fast pass kiosks. I believe Le Cellier is still one you want to book out that far.

Wilderness Lodge is undergoing some major construction, adding DVC space. It is believed to be completed sometime in 2017, but may run into 2018. I would think it would be nearing completion by the time of your trip, and would think the major parts would already be completed by then. Some do not care about the possible noise or disturbance (there is a thread on the Resorts board about it).

Thank you! That is very helpful information! I had no idea about the construction. I wonder what parts of the lodge are affected. I will look for that thread.
