Who do you tip and how much?????

Mousekeeping, Bell hop, Hostess, Bus driver, Magical Express Driver, Concierge, Pool Bartender, etc.

Side Question: How do you tip the bell hop who delivers your luggage to your room when you are off playing at the park???

Just thought this would be helpful!!

BUMP

I also am interested to hear how much you tip bell hops...constant point of disagreement between DH and I.

When you use Disney's Magical Express, Disney covers the incoming baggage delivery tip. In other words, if you happen to be in your room when your DME luggage is delivered, you're NOT being a cheapskate if you don't tip the person, because he/she will be paid FOR THAT DELIVERY by Disney.

DME drivers are NOT pre-tipped by Disney. On your way from the airport to your resort, the driver isn't handling your checked luggage. If the driver handles your carry-ons, it is customary to tip about $1 per bag. If they don't touch your stuff and just drive, then a tip isn't necessary or even expected.

Basically, it is customary that ANYONE who handles any of your luggage should be tipped about $1-$2 per bag (except for the incoming DME delivery to your room). Again, NOT required, but customary.

On your way OUT of your resort, Disney does NOT cover any tips at all.

i know, when tipping hte mouse keeping you HAVE to put it in an envelope labled Mousekeeping. their not allowed to touch any money not adressed to them.

We tip about $1-2 a bag when we were on Magical Express (both ways). And when the bell hop brought our bags down at check out. With Mousekeeping we did about $1-2 a person each day. I forgot the envelops but left a note each day.

Also remember these CM really do rely on the tips they make.

Right, it has to be labeled as a tip for them but it certainly doesn't need to be in an envelope or anything labeled "Mousekeeping."

We typically tip anyone who handles our bags $1/bag. As far as mousekeeping goes, the last trip we had I had my envelopes all fillled and dated and left the first one out on the first day. Well, we came back to nothing special. I tried again the second day. Again nothing special, no towel animals or anything. So I must admit that I no longer left a tip. It is their paid job to do the beds, etc. I look it as it is a tip for something extra or especially good service, neither of which we had.

We tip $1-2/bag for anyone who handles our bags, generally we just give them $5 because we never have more than 2-3 bags. We keep our backpacks/carryons with us.

We always leave $5/day for mousekeeping. Even this trip when it's just the 2 of us, we'll still leave $5. They'll still have to do about the same amt of work, just one less bed to make. I think towel animals depends on how much time they have, not how much you tip. We tipped the same every day, some day we got surprises, other days we didn't. I think even if you were to leave $20 and a note asking for towel animals, if 2 people called in sick and they have all those extra rooms to clean, they might just not have time to create something special for you.

Let me see if I remember what we tipped:

ME driver: $5 for 4 bags stored
Bellhop: $10 for bringing stored luggage to our room that was not checked luggage
Mousekeeping: $5 most days as we asked for extras (towels, blankets, pillows)
Bellhop (leaving): $15 for taking our bags to ME bus stop (6 people, multiple bags)
ME driver (leaving): $15 since we were not on a participating airline
MCO: $20 since the guy got our luggage and got us thru check-in in less then 10 mins! He also took our luggage to x-ray for us.
Waitress: We did the DDP, but if she was really good we did leave an additional 5% tip.
