Hi

Just wonder from your past experience, can you list out a number of things which you don't have to buy from Disney ?

For example, Things like the bridal flowers, it costs $250-300 from Disney, so why can't i buy it from outside flower shop and have it ready . It would have saved half the price , at least.

if you're going to a florist outside of disney, disney will charge you a fee for going to another vender. i don't know how much the fee is but i remember thinking how crazy it is. i didn't have a bouquet. i wasn't fond with the selection of bouquets that disney had to offer. also, my thing was why spend so much money on flowers that will die within days, unless you spend another $200 or more to get them preserved and have them made into a keepsake. so, what did i do? i used a mickey doll as my bouquet. yep, a mickey doll. you can see the doll in the picture here on my signature. the only flowers i used for the ceremony were corsages for my MOH, bridesmaid and mother of groom, and boutinniers (sp?) for groom and best man. that saved us a lot of money on flowers.

where is the wedding going to be held at? if your wedding is going to be at the pavilion, don't bother decorating it. it is beautiful the way it is. it is so intimate and perfect. that saved us a lot of money.

you can get a videographer, photographer, entertainment outside of disney but you pay a fee for having them come onto the property. the only outside photographer that you DON'T pay a fee for is Randy Chapman. he has some agreement that the couples will not be charged the extra fee for his services.

i would recommend, go with Randy Chapman for photography and stick with Disney on everything else to avoid being charged so many fees.

I just wanted to mention that I love your Mickey 'bouquet'. It's so original and fun. Great idea! ::MickeyMo

We got married on March 26, 2005 and we used outside vendors for a few things...

Photographer
Videographer
Florist
Limo

It saved us tons of money!!! The only fee is the $90 fee to use an outside photographer, which they forgot to charge us =) They do not charge a fee for floral, limos, etc...

If you would like me to share the names/numbers of the people I used, send me an email Jamie0201@aol.com or PM me.

Hope this helps
Jamie

You should note that depending on your location you may not be able to use outside vendors for some things. In-park weddings and receptions are no longer allowed to use outside vendors for flowers and decor. Just something to be aware of.

The fee for all outside photographers and videographers is technically $90 for up to three hours and then an additional $30 per hour after that. However, most brides report that they aren't charged the full fee. For example, Jamie wasn't charged at all, and our outside photographer was with us for 11 hours, but we were only charged for 4 hours, and several other brides have only been charged the $90 minimum. When budgeting for them though you should count on being charged the full amount.

We used Randy Chapman for floral and STVS for video. This was before Disney started charging outside vendor fees however. We were very pleased with their services, and for what we got they were much less expensive.
