Tips From My Trip

Just got back last night. I over packed as usual, but there were a few things that came in very handy that I thought I'd share.

1.) Wet Ones Travel Packs. Antibacterial. I used them with the kids before and after meals. They come 15 to a pack and are in a thin resealable package. Great for quick wipe ups. I sometimes used them to wipe down the tables if they were sticky (if I didn't have #2 on me). Target, one dollar each pack.

2.) Chlorox Disinfecting Wipes To-Go pack. These packages were also thin and resealable. Very handy. I got both of these packages at Target in the travel size section. They were a dollar.

3.) Quarters, Laundry Detergent, Fabric Softener. I was so glad to have the things I needed to do the laundry. I bought some laundry detergent at the dollar store. Worked as well as any I've tried. I got a pound of the stuff for a buck. At the resort, the laundry detergent was .75 for a small package. The small box was enough for one wash. I ended up doing laundry more than I thought and it saved the party we traveled with and us a good bit of money. I had fabric softener sheets (I use liquid detergent at home and didn't want to pack that). The quarters were convenient to be ready.

4.) Stay near your laundry. We sat in the lobby facing the laundry and chatted while we waited. There were some characters (not Disney) that came and stayed in the laundry room! I don't know what the deal was with a number of them. Most didn't have laundry and they didn't say much, but would leave after I came in and not come back. I'd go in and tell them about how much time we had left and which machines we were using, in case they were wondering. One lady came in and told us she was going to take someone's laundry out of the washer so she could use it (ours was in the dryer), but she decided to wait a few minutes before she did that. I wouldn't appreciate some stranger handling my laundry, but that's another story. I mean she just walked in and decided that. No patience at all. Crazy.

If I think of any more tips, I'll post them.

Grand Floridian! It was very nice! Decorated quite well. Had a great time! Just some weird laundry happenings. :upsidedow

Oh!

5.) Small first aid kit. The kit I got was about as big as the palm of your hand. Bandaids, gauze, a small roll of tape. I also brought neosporin. I did use the kit for blisters. Got it for a dollar at the Target travel section. Love the Target travel section! :)

:confused3 Who knows how long the laundry has just been sitting there. As long as she only put it in a basket, or on a table and not all over the floor, that is a normal thing for most laundrymats.

The laundry hadn't been stopped for long. The lady that was "waiting" had not been in to know. She just walked in and wanted hers done right then. That's strange to me. :confused3 Different strokes I guess.
