Tips for the skyliner

1st try to get a gondola that doesn't have a character overlay. They obstruct you view!

2nd get off at the Riveria, take a short walk just off the skyliner and there are beautiful murals of Tangled and Peter Pan. Great photo op!!
This goes along with your 2nd tip, but don’t use the Riviera station at peak times. Going to Epcot in the morning? The station gets backed up and very few empty cabins coming from CBR. At night, very few cabins left empty coming from Epcot, making a trip to CBR or Aoa/Pop difficult.

the gondola comes into the station fast, then slows down really quick. Kinda frightening how close it feels to crashing.

We had no issue leaving EPCOT at night to go to Pop. There were long lines but moved so very quickly. Plus it definitely beat having to walk from where we were in World Showcase to the front to catch the buses, that I am sure had massive lines also.

The Riviera station to Epcot was better than the CBR station for us. CBR station had much longer lines. Maybe because it’s a transfer station for Pop and Aoa?

Don’t get on at the Riviera station at peak times. You have to wait for a gondola to be open that wasn’t filled at the hub, or if someone gets off at Riviera.

Is this still an option if traveling with a child who is afraid of heights? It doesn't seem too high up from the pictures and they do fine on the monorail. So I figured this might not be much different than that but didn't want to get her on it only to find out she's terrified before even entering the park.

Thanks.

I would say no. There’s much more window coverage than the monorail, making it more obvious you’re off the ground.

Wondering how long the skyliner waits can get at the Riviera station? We are planning on staying there our next trip and often strive to get to the parks as early as possible, and if there are often long waits in the morning at that station, that concerns me a bit!

I am staying at Riviera at the end of June so I am slightly interested in wait times. I do plan to just go straight to the CBR station on our DHS day so we do not have to wait at Riviera just to wait again at CBR.
