Tips For Space Mountain WDW

How can I have the best ride experience?

I like the front on SM so I can see everything with no heads in my way. I wear glasses so I have a sports strap I use, otherwise, if I took my glasses off, I would see nothing but blackness. That's about it really.

If you can - try to ride 'both' sides. Both the FP side and traditional wait sides are slightly different experiences. Both good - and while on - you can't really SEE anything anyway - but both are FUN!

I would try to board to the right. I find the left side much bumpier and uncomfortable that the right for some reason. :)

Glad it is not just my imagination... I noticed that too.

Not sure how it improves the ride, but I see so many people do it, thought I would mention it.... when leaving, just stand on the moving walkway. Preferable side by side with a large group so nobody can move past you easily. With any luck the people behind you will be too meek to move past and then there is a huge backup and someone wanting to walk on the ya know, WALKWAY, will have to push past 30 people to get anywhere. It has to add to the enjoyment, otherwise why would so many people do it? :joker:

HAHAHA! This cracks me up! :rotfl2:

The front is great, but not essential. If you like it a little rough, ride in the very back. The thing I do that enhances the experience for me is to look around. Obviously, it's dark so there's not a lot to see, but I find if I focus on the stars and the space projections that the dips and turns are more unexpected, thus increasing the fun for me. Mileage may vary.

Ride it a few times if you can, remember where the camera is and smile or make a face for a cool picture.

I beleive the camera is just after the "energizing tunnel" very close to the beginning of the ride. You'll see the flashes. I usually do a pose here.

There definitely are things to see, stars and projections, hence why I need my glasses. It's a rough ride, so losing them would be easy without the strap.
