Hey all! I thought you guys might be able to help me out. A friend of mine is taking her 2 girls down (age 4 and 7) for their first Disney visit 6 days in october. They are staying at POFQ. Do you guys have any good tips on scheduling and what to do when, where and how? I KNOW she wants to do a princess meal with them (no fur characters.. one is scared do death of them due to an easter bunny incident.) CRT is booked for 8 years, and askerhaus makes her nervous b/c they are very picky eaters. Are there any other princess meals? I know 1900 Park Fare SOMEtimes has princesses.. but i don't want to send her on a winnie the pooh night.

Thanks for all your help!

i would go with norway....

anyway here is the description and meal plan at 1900 park at GF

I would go with breakfast at Norway for picky eaters.

most of the others have furry - either the main characters like winnie the pooh - or chip and dale.

My family loved 1900 Park Fare - the brunch was a buffet, and the food was dee-licious! I think they do a princess theme, but I'm not sure of the meal time.

You might also check the other resort restaurants - they're less crowded.

I've done WDW with my DD from the time she was 5 and the biggest thing I'd recommend is staying within the kids' tolerance level. If they're not up to staying awake late, your life will not end if you miss the fireworks. <gasp!> I'd book any TS meals she wants as far ahead of time as possible (and the Akershus kids menu isn't adventurous.....) and then relax. Decide what she really wants to do and make a loose plan to fit those things in, but go with the attitude that things may change and that's fine. Believe me, they'll all have more magical memories if they aren't running from place to place while the kids are grumpy just to say they did as much as possible. It's not necessary to go in totally unprepared, just prioritize and plan around that. In 6 days, they'll get to do a lot and the girls will be telling everyone at home about all of the things they DID, not the stuff they missed.

DD and I have now been several times and have done different trip styles, but I wouldn't trade any of it for anything. Single parents shouldn't be intimidated by anyone saying it's difficult - it's an amazing experience. Seeing WDW through DDs eyes that first time and following her lead..... completely magical!

Park Faire has Cinderella, Prince Charming, the 2 mice, and sometimes (though we haven't seen her in 2 meals) FGM at Dinner. I beieive Cindy and Prince are always there. The buffet is very good-one of my favorite buffets, not just in WDW, but anywhere. Will your friend's DD be afraid of the mice? The are very cute, and good with the kids, but they are furry.

Pezpam, didn't I just read a post that you're going to MNSSHP on the 15th, alone? Maybe we'll see you there. :grouphug:

This is Dave's daughter posting. When I went the askerhaus I didn't like it b/c I'm a picky eater as well. You can find princesses under the tent in Mickey's Toon Town Fair in Magic Kingdom. They don't serve food there and there are long lines but it's worth it. popcorn::
:sunny: HAVE FUN

The dinner at 1900 Park fare is wonderful. My daughter is 3 and just loved it. She dressed up like Cinderella and when she saw her it was so magical.

We did the family magic tour which was such a blast. It was $25 a person if you are a DVC, AAA or Chase Disney Visa holder there is a discount. There are in a small group about 20 people and it's a tour around MK with a wonderful surprise at the end.
