Tips for seeing Fantasmic?

We have seen Fantasmic twice before, but haven't seen it recently. I think I would like to take my dd6 and ds5 to see it while my DH takes DS12 and DS9 to ride some rides before the park closes.

The two times we did go see it, we did the dinner package at Mama Melrose, but I have all my ADR's already and don't want to cancel any. So, if we decide to see it, we'd be walking in without the priority seating. What time do you think I would need to get to the theater to get seats before the show? We are going from Aug 21st to the 28th.....

Any tips or ideas? Thanks!

at least 30-45 minutes early maybe even an hour early depending on if there are 2 shows that night. If it is a second showing, they wont let you in until the 1st crowds have cleared out.

When I worked Fantasmic and there was only one show a night, People would be queuing a good 1.5 hours before show start. If there are two shows I would definitely recommend waiting for that one as it is nowhere near as busy and you dont have to go really early to get a good seat. Also rides would be much quieter when the first show is on so your whole family could go and watch the second show and still ride all the rides before.

If you do decide to go to the first show and dont arrive till quite late, dont be afraid to take a look at the seats closer to the middle even if they look full as you will come across some big empty spaces that havent been filled!

45 minutes should be plenty. I think they suggest earlier, but I don't think it is necessary. The views are n't that much better, and if you get there too early kids get fidgetty.

If you start to worry take a ride on ToT or RnRC while the first show is queing and see how long that line is 45 minutes before the show. Knowing how busy that one is will tell you if you could come later for the second show.
