Tips For Scoring a Good Rate at Swan/Dolphin on Priceline??

I've read threads here on getting ressies at S/D on Priceline but didn't pay much attention since we usually go the first week in March when S/D isn't in a mood to deal. This year we're forced to switch to the first week in Jan., which I'm told is among the deadest times at WDW so maybe I can get lucky. Any advice on bidding on S/D, particularly how to groove it so that only the S/D would fit the amenities I chose?

If your heart is set on S/D then I would suggest NOT trying to win one of them on priceline or hotwire. But if you would be happy with any WDW area resort, then its a great way to save BIG bucks.

I won the Swan on Hotwire last December for $109 per night but it was sheer luck!

Hotwire--betterbidding.com will tell you what amenities to look for to give you a high probability of getting S/D


Priceline--check biddingfortravel.com If someone posts a winning S/D bid for the dates you want, match the bid. You have a reasonable shot of getting S/D but it's certainly possibly you'll just wind up overpaying for the Hilton or Wyndham.

Best way to get S/D is to use an occupational rate, entertainment ratee or just use one of the offers found on this (or other) internet disney boards.

S/D isn't found on PL or Hotwire very often.

There's really no way to do it on priceline b/c there are other "resort" level hotels in the same zone. You can get a good deal on that level, but it may not be Swan/Dolphin. I've not done it, but you can match amenitites on Hotwire.

Bill, remember that the WDW marathon is on the 9th of january, but alot of us are arriving on the 4th and 5th.
I checked with the Dolphin, and it's already booked for our dates!
Swan still had availability though!
