tips for room service?

When you order room service, does your Cabin Steward deliver it or does another Cast Member bring it? If so, do you tip this person?

Another cast member brings room servece. That's why it's handy to have dollar bills onhand or you can leave the tip on your room key if you buy something that cost money like soda.

As a convenience we always bring a stack of dollar bills and leave them in one of the drawers...this way everyone in our family knows where the tip money is and the teens can order room service and tip appropriately without hunting us down for cash. Depending on what we order we tip between $1-$3 ($3 if the teens order a bunch of stuff).

The cheese platter is very good as well as the chicken fingers...and the chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk are great!!!

Has it been cleared up yet, that when you order room service you are automatically charged $2.00 ? I've read a thread on here a month or two ago about that. Apparantly when someone got home and read their charges, they were charged for each rm service delivery. I never heard the outcome of this. Has this happened to anyone else?

We just returned from the Wonder serveral days ago and ordered room service serveral times. NO charge was found on our bill at the end of the cruise. I had read those posts as well and made sure to check it our on our bill at the end of our cruise. By the way... the international cheese tray is WONDERFUL!

I checked our bill from out 11/30/02 cruise and there was no charge for the room service we ordered.

Ok, that is good to hear that you were not charged. I fully plan on tipping room service, just didn't want to tip them twice!! I plan on having all my tips in cash, in envelopes before we even set foot on the ship! I will lock them in the safe and be all set!! I can't wait to be sitting out on my verandha snacking on my cheese and cracker tray!!! Only 430 something days to go!!!AUGH!!
