Tips for packing water in luggage

My airline doesnt allow ice in checked coolers (lots of sports fishermen!)as water could leak out onto other passengers bags but more inportantly onto electrical wiring!
I would double check with your airline as to the amount of liquid you can transport in your checked baggage.

I just remembered, I had shipped 24 glass bottles of VOSS shipped to my condo in Florida via FedEx one year. All but 2 bottles were fine. Shipping was a little expensive but worth it to me because I didn't think I could get VOSS in Florida, then later I found out I was wrong lol it was at Publix.

The thing that popped out at me was your statement that you were packing your 'dry food' so that if a leak did occur, your food would be fine. BUT...what about everyone else's stuff??? What happens if your water leaks and someone else's bag gets soaked??? Sure, your PopTarts are fine, but what about my clothing??

Can you pack water? Sure you can. But it has to be well insulated, and triple bagged. It is a lot of space taken up in the bag. But, if that's your choice, fine. Just be sure that your bag contents are not going to negatively impact someone else's bags!!!! Many here have reported having to replace clothing that was ruined by leakage from someone else's bags.

Thank you everyone for the tips and advice..I am not gonna be bringing my water..just too many worries if something breaks and leaks. I was considering having Costco ship, but keep hearing that they dont do that anymore. I may go to DTD and go to the Hess and pick up some there.
